Was that not all built for the Commonwealth Games?
Just the stadium I believe. The Campus construction began in 2010, long after the Commonwealth Games.
Campus was an old chemical factory site and breakers yard, without the Arab money it would never have been possible to build on it. New school, library and swimming pool built beside it as well in what is one of the most impoverished areas of the city. The Trafford outfit of course do nothing for the city and have their training facilities in Cheshire. City truely is the peoples club.
It appears Man Yoo are doing their bit for the environment by not having millionaire footballing cagers in large engined cars further damaging the urban environment driving their petrol guzzling supercars/Range Rovers into the city cc @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy
The Cheshire training facilities of manyoo are sandwiched between a council estate and the sewage plant a way west of the M60 and the city, but closer to Salford where the club is based. A manyoo player wouldn’t get out of the car within 5 miles of it, never mind live there.
Solar
Combined heat and power systems (CHP) and absorption chillers have been integrated into the club’s existing energy systems to transfer electricity to the grid. Trigeneration CHP currently provides City Football Academy with 60 percent of its energy needs.
The Etihad campus is fitted with efficient rainwater harvesting systems, air-source heat pumps, and LED lights.
All wastewater collected from ground activities is recycled and repurposed across the campus, thanks to an 8 million litre rainwater harvesting reservoir and borehole system.
The installation of 5,272 LED lamps has shaved energy consumption at Etihad Stadium by an impressive one million kW hours.
Not to mention the fact that the entire campus was reclaimed from a derelict, toxic and unusable heavy industrial estate
Thanks is for confirming
Cork fellas and their “solar”
I’d say he’s got some right horrible looking tubes on his roof all the same.

It’s a beautiful beautiful thing.
Fergal Harkin’s rise from League of Ireland to the heart of Manchester City’s...
Jack Byrne wasn’t surprised to see a familiar name pop up on his phone this week.
Pep has a lovely, self-deprecating way about him. He was remarking there what an honour it is both for him and the Manchester City club to be locked in a title race with a club of the stature of Man U. Some lovely words then about Coach Ole and his team and the great job he’s doing.
He’s a cunt
Oles not that bad
Ole is also a cunt
I know
Ole is the most harmless fella you’d ever meet. Won’t park in Ferguson’s parking space.
