Batteries are set to charge during the night. Solar usually powers the house for most of the day once itâs not raining. And then battery powers from 4pm onwards is the way itâs working now. Donât have the cheap 2-6am rate so might try move to that
Thatâs good output for 3 weeks in March
You must have a big roof
South facing bungalow
I didnât but I would now. They have gone down in price and they are only VAT exempt if you put in at same time as rest of system
A fella who did a fair bit of research on it told me to sell it back instead, hard to know whatâs the right way
That was my thinking but in meantime electricity has gotten more experience and the sell back rate has dropped. And batteries materially cheaper. All of the crowds who priced it for me told me I didnât need a battery tbfâŚbut you can load up your battery on night rate and then use that to run the house during the dayâŚso selling back almost everything being generated at multiples of the night rate costâŚIâd guess that loophole will be closed at some point
Any of you guys who have them get them washed once a year? They recommend it.
Id say barring you live in the desert hardly a need to wash them
By god. How many panels do you haveâŚthere must have been smoke coming out of it
Stops lichen and other growth on them that can reduce performance
16 x (410W) panels. 6.5k system really as that is the max you can do domestically unless you get exemptions. Got a 10kw battery with it and also a changeover switch which has been used a lot more than I thought it would.
TFK finally believing the fact that Wexford gets more hours sunshine than any other county in Ireland
hup!
A paltry 43.7 here. How many panels have you?
Id only barely 40 with 16 panels.
