The Olympics

Chiellini wins it.

What’s Italian for super Sunday

The Texan born Italian?

Oh his mother is Italian.

He’s every bit as Italian as @Fulvio_From_Aughnacloy

Forza Italia

He does have an Italian mother in fairness so a lot more Italian than all the bangers from Brazil they’re importing to play on their national soccer team.

European athletics is back

Ben Johnson all over again???

What was his PB before this?

Was only 3rd in his semi.

9.84

Between my sub 22 run on Friday and this today, it’s been a great week for Italian athletes.

Jacobs must post here

He really opened up his legs and expressed himself

Think it was 9.95. That’s 0.15 off his personal best.

Hmmmmm…seems quite the jump in form to go from never having broken 10 seconds to winning an Olympic final in 9.80 in such a short time.

On 13 May 2021, in Savona, Italy, he set the Italian record in the 100 metres with a time of 9.95 s,[9] becoming the 150th person in history to break the 10-second barrier. On 26 June 2021, notwithstanding a headwind of −1.0 m/s, he beat the Italian championships’ record with a time of 10.01 s, in Rovereto, winning his fourth national title in a row.

Fortunately Italy has no tradition of doping in sport

Broke that in May.

Previous PB was 10.03 from 2019

The reaction of the Italian when they agreed to share the High Jump gold is just brilliant. Pure sport.
