The Olympics

A Belarusian athlete is claiming political asylum.

A real throw back Olympics.

That was a great morning of sporting entertainment. Few things in sport to beat an evening session of Track and Field in an Olympic Games.

Barr misses final due to clipped hurdle

McIlroy misses a bronze by mm after his putt on 18
Kurt Walker narrowly loses a medal after split decision
Aidan Walsh loses a shot at silver with injured ankle

Ridiculously fine margins at the top end of sport. I never remember a time Ireland came into an Olympics Day where theyā€™d a realistic chance of so many medals. Hopefully luck turns for those left to compete.

He is living rent free in youā€™re head anyway. There used be a fella here called @chocolatemouse who used tell of how he had been with every woman in Limerick. He was an awful cad but was celebrated for his swordsmanship

Where did he hear that tittle tattle I wonder.

@TheUlteriorMotive what are the chances of the appeal against the 400m Italian hurdler being successful?

Has Sydney McLaughlin run yet?

More appeals in Olympic athletics than in 1900s GAA.

Savage commentary by Nick Oā€™Hare and John Kenny on the 1500 metres freestyle in the swimming. Nickā€™s in race analysis was Johnny Giles-esque.

I donā€™t know to be honest.
