That was a lovely interview with GB’s 200 metres semi-finalist Beth Dobbin on the Beeb. Paid tribute to her best friend’s Mum who worked as a frontline nurse for 34 years and took her own life in June.
That’s the real mental toll of the pandemic.

The rainy season has come to Tokyo in a big way.
No great surprise there. Van Niekerk did his cruciate a few years ago, ill advisedly playing in a charity rugby match. He hasn’t been the same since. 400 metres will be some final though. Some serious quality in the field.
Hubbard is out of the competition.
