Kenya going for 10 in a row in the steeplechase. They’re up against it though. El Bakali from Morocco looks the man to beat and the Ethiopians are strong too.

Kenya boycotted in 1976 and 1980 so Tokyo in 1964 the last time that Kenya didn’t win it, when they had runners in the field.

The Kenyans mugged off good and proper there in one of their favourite races.

A famous Moroccan win over Kenya to rank with those of Hicham El Guerrouj over Bernard Lagat in the 1,500 metres at Athens 2004 and Kahlid Skah over the late Richard Chelimo in the 10,000 metres at Barcelona 1992.

Women’s 5000m about to start. Good gauge as to how fast these athletes can run as a lot on here would know their 5km best.
