Brilliant boxing from the taxi driver from Newport Lauren Price to take gold for GB. She beat her bigger Chinese opponent up a stick in the middleweight final. International footballer and kick boxing world champion too.

I still think Katie Taylor lost that fight.

42 caps in soccer I think. She only switched from kick boxing to boxing as there was no kickboxing in the Olympics. She was absolutely blessed to win the semi final though.

I think she shaded it but it was debatable, put it that way. But I also think it was debatable that Kenneth Egan won his final against his Chinese opponent in 2008. Highly debatable.

The US are still waiting to win a boxing gold medal for the first time since 2004, despite Coach Walsh’s efforts. They got a second silver medal this morning when “The Businessman” Keyshawn Johnson lost to “El Fenomeno” Andy Cruz of Cuba.

But they have one more chance now in the final fight of the Games, the super heavyweight final, on BBC One now.

The Uzbek, who has had eight pro fights, is towering over Torrez of the US here. But Torrez is like a jack in the box. Torrez has taken the first round on 3 of the 5 cards.

Oh dear. Torrez gets a point deducted for use of the head and then takes a standing count.

Any mention of RTÉ repeating the fight?

I saw a programme on her whilst having a cup of tea at work in Friday. She is a remarkable athlete.

Three silvers for Coach Walsh but no gold. He’ll get there yet, he’s made the US a force again.

They said they’ll reshow it before they finish this morning’s coverage

Repeat just starting now

Irish commentator is woefully bias

Harrington’s constant switching of sides was so impressive. Never let her opponent build up a rhythm.
