The quality of analyis from individuals who reached an elite level at individual sports is usually way above the quality of your average team sport pundit , Boxing aside ( mind you RTE do that pretty well but it is more âUp de flatsâ People before profit types) , the Athletics or Swimmimg pundit is always university educated, has that cold confidence that these sports bring, rarely deals in cliches, speaks exceptionally well and has no tolerance for an athlete not giving their best on the highest stage, they also never talk about " the group" of other GAA/ Ladies rugby type team nonsense that is fed into young people of low self confidence⌠confidence is something they gained from within an by winning as an individual, they do not need any of the associated guff we get about team spirit, bonding or rapport, for them it does not exist

How does it work that some Russian athletes are allowed compete under ROC?
Russia are barred but any Russian athlete not implicated is allowed compete for ROC but canât have Russian flag and anthem. A fudge basically.
