The Christles were a great middle class boxing family. If my memory is correct Ulick O’Connor was a university boxing champion as well.

Dr. Eanna Falvey was colleges heavyweight champion

7;of the first 8 hammer gold medals were won by Irishmen

One of them has a great grandson hurling with Limerick seniors

Hammer throwers, current Limerick hurling team.

When is Tom Barr running? He came 4th in 2016 didn’t he? Could be a medal hope again.

He ran earlier. Knocked out at first stage.

Astute.

3.40am Friday morning

He’ll qualify handy for semi final.

It gets better soon as track finals are all evening Japan time so between 11 and 2 our time
