McIlroy finishes -11, Lowry -10; two and three back off the lead held by Ortiz and Schauffele as it stands. Leaders playing the second last.

Is that a team event or just singles?

Singles only

Matsuyama joins the leaders. Would be some atmosphere now if fans had been let in.

Schauffele stiffs it on 18, he’ll have the overnight lead to himself

Fiji v NZ in the 7s here is great stuff.

Carreno Busta has Djokovic up against it in the bronze medal game

Amateur hour here with the technology at the 100m

Oduduru not impressed.

Hoping for divine intervention there.

Was he rocking slightly in the blocks? Didn’t seem to actually go before anyone else. I’m not as up to, err, speed on my 100m technicalities as I ought to be.

They technology looked to be at fault for the first false start based on the reaction times.

Think he was rocking a bit alright second time around.

He’ll surely appeal.

I said it last night and I’ll say it again. This false start rule is bollocks. It’s the sort of thing which would seriously turn you off the sport.

Lovely Rendition of Amhran na bhFiann by our hockey ladies.

God Save the Queen now from Team GB

That’ll confuse the fuck out of the hockey crowd. They won’t know which one to sing.

A former international cricket player on Ireland team.

I was amazed, they all seemed to know the words, and actually could hold the tune as well, in stark contrast to any men’s team. A definite South Dublin twang alright though.

This Olympic Foie Gras Hockey making a nice precursor to the South Ireland Regional Spud Hockey in half an hour.
