The Orange Goat, Killester, Dublin 5 stalking thread

Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, myself and family in tow headed to Lahinch this morning for a few hours at the beach in the Marbella of the Mid West. We didn’t bother to eat there as the place was packed, so faced the cage for home, mulled over Bunratty before making a decision to go to Flanagans in Ballina. We became traffic two miles from the town and the decision was made to turn the cage around and made for Larkins of Garrykennedy via the old N7 and over the scenic Arra mountains.

Anyway, that’s enough about my caging habits. We were shown to our seats in the busy establishment and I went to the bar to order a creamy pint of stout. Alongside me, also waiting to place their order was Captain Paul Murphy of The Hurling Pod fame and his partner Eadaoin.

Paul ordered a Guinness Zero for himself and a Gin and Tonic for his attractive other half, who does little to dispel the notion that Tipperary produces fine women (she is from Nenagh, I believe).

They were both dressed for a night out and sure enough were pointed to the direction of a “day 2” party for a wedding out in the garden at the rear of the premises. I gave Paul a respectful nod as if to say “I know who you are” but didn’t say anything, as I was in beach attire and wouldn’t want to degrade myself by engaging with a glamourous, well dressed couple who have featured in RSVP magazine. I sculled my pint at the bar swifly and called for a second.

Saw Dublin and St Vincents stalwart “Gentleman” Ger Brennan at the children’s shoe section of Clarks in the Pavilions in Swords. The affable Ger engaged in some GAA banter outside the store with another shopper while his partner got on with the serious business of last minute back to school shoe procurement.

Who: Bernard Brogan
Where: Porterstown Park
When: Just now
Wearing: Plunketts white training top, navy shorts, white socks and runners
Bernard was jogging slowly on the path around the park but didn’t look out of breath and was smiling to himself. At a guess id say he was doing a Hyrox session in the nearby Anatomic Fitness and was heading out on one of the 1k runs. A couple of half decent mots came trundling after him.

When will the bridge be finished at killaloe?
Summer traffic is always bad but you can’t get at the place now with roadworks

Structure looks to to be complete but has to be surfaced yet. I’d never seen anything like it yesterday. It will be a great job once complete

Ireland and Lions legend Dónal Lenihan passed me about 20 mins ago as I was walking for the school collection. Wearing navy polo shirt and shorts, with Hoka running shoes, he and his female companion said a friendly hello to me as we all basked in the autumnal sunshine here in leafy T12. Lenihan is very tanned.

Donnacha O’Callaghan down in Nemo Rangers this morning, white T-shirt, navy short shorts and white runners. Great tan

This thread in particular requires a more poetic slant. A simple description won’t cut it.

Myself and the brother in law met Dónal Lenihan and Michael Kiernan in Kranks Korner (Limerick chipper) one night. There must have been a rugby match on as the two boyos were wearing their green blazers. I was about Lenihan’s size and the brother in law about the size of Kiernan, so we tried on their jackets for size. We sat down with them and had our chips.

We had got as far as the taxi rank down the road before the two boys came running after us looking for their jackets back. We politely obliged…

Who : Roisin Shortall
Where : C&T Supermarket Marino.
When : This evening
Other details : Roisin was perusing the dairy section with a basket. She was dressed casually. She went to the checkout and was chatty and friendly with the young lad on the till. She looks old and tired which is hardly surprising when she has cunts like @Massive_Attack continually nominating her on the COTY thread. I was going to approach her and sympathise with her on this score but decided against it as she would probably have called the guards.

You what? That cunt drove minimum alcohol pricing and generally wants a nanny state. I’ll shall nominate her again repeatedly this year. I should hope that you outlined TFK’s dissatisfaction with her performance in Dáil Éireann…

Would you ever ponder in a moment of reflection that she might be a very nice person who just has different opinions to you on certain things?

She may be lovely…but I’m not sure what that has to do wlth anything. Mammy Roisín wants to tell people what they should consume or otherwise. I think she should mind her own business.

Sure that’s her job. Somebody has to propose legislation. Maybe she thinks that’s the best way to stop excessive alcohol consumption which is a huge issue. Maybe you disagree, and she’s not actually a cunt at all.

Maybe…but i think she’s a cunt and that’s all that matters to me.

Maybe Roisín might address some of the many more serious issues in Irish society. Very much doubt she will.
