The Prestigious Europa League 2014/2015 thread
Wakaso’s game would certainly be based more on energy, Tonev is probably a passive player who flits in and out of games. He’s been unlucky do far with niggles and this suspension coming up. Hopefully he’ll get a run of games after Christmas so Ronnie can properly assess him.

Think Boerrigter and Berget will be gone in January.
Forgot completely about Boerrigter. Not the first time that’s happened. He will probably be gone alright but Berget has to be first to go.

Boerrigter is out for 3 months after having an operation recently. Can’t recall what the exact injury is but it could affect any attempt to sell him in January.

Fuck sake. He’s a big diddy, reckon we should give him a go at left back.

Don’t forget the 6pm kick-off in Giurgiu. I hope to have Celtic team news on this thread shortly after 5pm. Alternatively, you could get it on twitter, either of the club websites or on UEFA.com. I expect a defeat for Celtic after a dogged battle. It’ll be all to play for going into Matchday 5.

The forecast heavy fog has descended on Giurgiu and the UEFA match delegate will decide shortly whether the game can go ahead this evening. If not, it will take place at 11am tomorrow.

Celtic team to play FC Astra: Gordon; Lustig, Denayer, van Dijk, Izaguirre; Brown, Mulgrew; McGregor, Johansen, Wakaso; Scepovic.

Subs: Zaluska, Ambrose, Matthews, Kayal, Bitton, Griffiths, Tonev

Berget doesn’t even make the bench when we have Stokes, Guidetti, Forrest and Commons out.

Bit foggy to say the least o_O

Just tuned in lads.

Was listening to commentary on Radio Scotland on drive home from work. Commentator says :

“Corner to Celtic. I have no idea who’s taking it. I’ll guess Johansen”

Seems to be much worse at the end Celtic are defending.

What a goal from Johansen

Eat that goal!

Always rated Johansen. Brilliant strike.

Fog looks to be clearing.

Think Griffiths would be more suited to playing tonight than Scepovic as he gives us more of a threat in behind.

Salzburg one up, as things stand Celtic will qualify for the last 32 tonight.

Salzburg 1-0 up in Zagreb

Positive scoreline, encouraging display to go with it. Hopefully this will continue.

Salzburg 2 up.

Salzburg 2-1 up
