Strange kind of a game at Celtic Park. Celtic are battling away but mixing the good with the bad. Ajax arenāt up to much either and are as open as Celtic. Deflected McGregor effort off the bar there. Celtic look quite jaded again though. 1-1. "69.

Griffiths missed a one on one after a majestic turn and through ball in one motion by Allan. Really should have buried that. Simunovic had a great chance from the corner too.

I know we were going for it at the end there and were a bit open as a result but itās no excuse for the absence of basic defensive skills. That late chance where Gordon saved at his near post was just a simple straight pass and our centre backs were far too static and square.
Their second goal was also caused by our commitment of men forward but itās been a recurring theme this season that weāre really open on counter attacks from corners and the same happened again. Allan got robbed in their half, but that shouldnāt lead to a goal. We didnāt get back with any urgency - they didnāt leave 3 v 2 on the halfway line from the corner, they just broke quicker than we reacted. And then Gordon was really poor.
So much work needs to be done. Allan looked decent. Griffiths is a streaky player and plain useless outside the box and plain useless at bringing other players into the game.
Nowhere near as pissed off tonight than after Molde x2. It was actually quite decent in parts but we shot ourselves in the foot again - keeping up our average of conceding 2 in Europe per game and preventable goals again. We also should have scored more than 1 ourselves but Griffiths had a nightmare. That said, I donāt see the team developing as required and thatās 9 Europa League games without a win, never mind the 2 failed attempts to get into the Champions League group stages. Deila should be discarded but the board seem to be behind him.
Yep Ronny wonāt be going anywhere. The board love him. And heās making all the right noises for them about filling the squad up with Scottish kids. Depressing lack of ambition.
