Thing with Duffy not only was it shocking defending but his reaction of throwing his head to the sky afterwards instead of trying to make up for his error. He could have easily made up the ground and at least fouled.

We don’t have a structure with the ball or without it. So easy to play against for any half decent team that’s well coached. A cohesive and organised pressing game, like the huns have and these lads showed in the second part of the first half, and Celtic will cough up the ball to you. Then we’ll be ragged and exposed as we don’t have a solid defensive shape either. This is very poor and follows on from similarly brutal displays against the likes of Cluj, Copenhagen and Ferencvaros.

Yeah confidence is gone. Last passage of play summed that up. Afraid to close down attacker in case he got skint again. Mistakes like that will damage your standing in the dressing room. You claw back a goal and tide is turning and you compound mistakes. He should have shown him down the wing and not got beaten on the inside. But his reaction afterwards is unforgivable.

Think that’s a confidence thing as well rather than not being bothered. Getting beaten easily and then throwing his eyes up to heaven wondering what he’s doing wrong for a split second rather than just getting on with it

There were signs of this from Duffy in nation league games. Slide rule passes between himself and Egan in a couple of games that you just didnt associate with overly defensive Irish sides.
