I get the odd twinge/niggle alright, pal. There’s a balance to be found though. No point pounding the pavement every day if you’re limping as it’ll only end in more serious injury. But you don’t want to turn into @ChocolateMice and convince yourself you’re injured even when you’re not. I went for a run just before 9pm myself. I was seething about your treatment on the celeb spotting thread and needed to clear my head.
I don’t pound the pavement every day though. Interestingly i ran three days straight Mon-Weds and had a gap then to today (Sunday) and whatever it was about it i was way worse today than i was any of those three days. I suppose i also ran faster today. Have you a foam roller, @Bandage?
There’s one in the apartment but I don’t really use it.
Would it have been because you were running on the road/path and there is normally a fall off from a drainage point of view? Is there a field or a running track that you could go to and that might help.
I was running around a road yeah but it’s the route i always take and have not always come back hurt, but more and more lately yes. What do you mean by point above? There’s a running track as well i can use and do occasionally but it is incredibly boring in comparison to running around a country road. I feel like a hamster going around on a wheel on the running track.
Roads are engineered so that rain fall off them so there’s a slight slant on them. If you run on the same roads/route you could do damage to one side of you. Just a thought. @caoimhaoin might know more about this than me
I always run on the right against traffic and it is my right hip that is sore after it so could be a good point there. The road is uneven as anything, it’s all pot holes and the likes.
You want to quit running now before you do yourself some harm, you wouldn’t keep driving a car if it was making a funny noise would ye
Whats this now?
Smark is gonna break his hip if he keeps running and end up in a chair
Would you not? My yoke is rattling away when cornering and I’ve done nothing about it. Then again my hips rattle when cornering as well.

What about righting the piriformis ?
@smark, if the roads are quiet enough, run in the middle of the road to avoid the camber. The slope on the side of the road will buckle you.
Stretching and foam rolling. Get up off your hole every now and then when sat in front of the computer all day.
He could run on the grass in the middle
It’d lessen the impact on his joints too. Kill two birds with the one stone.
Stick in the headphones, crank up the volume and run away down the middle of the road.
Would you not go off down the fields for a run?
Running in a random field like that would be madness.
