Not great news here from Moderna and their vaccine. Social distancing, restrictions and mandatory masks are here to stay for awhile yet.

I heard on the radio last night that the Oxford shot will cost 3-4 quid, Pfizer 15 and Modena 25 quid.

He’s just being cautious, they all work the same. They prevent people getting very sick which is all that matters really. They should also all cut down significantly on transmission, but they’re not going to say that until it’s proven.
That’s fair enough and obviously they have to be cautious.
It does allude to us having another year potentially of restrictions though which isnt great.
Ah, the old Oxford, comma
No reason to think it will be a year, once vulnerable people are vaccinated there’s no reason for ongoing restrictions. Should be done by Spring I’d imagine.
I’d have my doubts, I know he’s a lunatic but the likes of Luke O’Neill is on record saying that social distancing and face masks arent going away anytime soon even post vaccines,
Soundbites from Moderna above will cement that in my view which is disappointing.
It’s over mate. Move on.
Once the vaccine is being rolled out, there is literally no more we can do than get back rocking and rolling.
We need to put the infidels against the wall and shoot them.
Then we’ll be done.
Who gives a fuck about an Oxford comma
No doubt the HSE will buy the one that doesn’t work for 25 quid.
Luke O’Neill is a top notch scientist and should be listened to, the most credible in Ireland on Covid I would argue. Until the vulnerable are vaccinated and have developed immunity it is sensible to be cautious.

Well any medical professional that promotes the cull of thousands would likely lose an unfair dismissal case were they to take one on. They should find an alternate career if truth be told. Even Tegnell admitted that there was no such thing as herd immunity without a vaccine something which the like if Gupta were pushing for.
