Heā€™s setting the bar fairly low. We had a task force commission a report on how we would administer the vaccine in 2021 or 2022 while an aul one 150 mile up the road has it got.

Thatā€™s a good question. Theoretically because the R0 is so high, you need as much as 60-70% to be immune. But that could be lower if a % already have immunity from having had Covid or have natural immunity from some other coronavirus. So, itā€™s somewhere between 10% and 70%.

What I donā€™t get is the supply excuse.

Surely these pharma companies have been mass producing since the knew it was good themselves? The doses are so small that you could probably have 3-400k doses in every lorryload and youā€™d imagine in any half decent plant they would be producing millions of doses per week?

Actually rolling out the vaccine could be more difficult but it surely seems to be ultra cautious for Ireland to be only expecting it to reach the general public after June?
