It’s utter shite. Hancock referenced it in an attempt to justify tier 4. He had no idea other countries would take him seriously. It, along with thousands of other strains have been around for several months. Stormont have met to discuss what to do about it, the health minister announced that the person beside you on the street could have it, that it could be 70% more infectious etc. He also admitted that there may be 4 cases of this maybe strain in the north.

Supply is due to ramp up significantly from March and April I think, plus you will have other vaccines available.

You also don’t need everyone vaccinated. If we got 700/800k of the most vulnerable vaccinated then we’d be sorted.

Once the hospital staff and nursing home residents have been vaccinated there’s reason for us not to be in a level 2 + type scenario.
