I think people need to manage their expectations a little bit. Youâve a bloated, mismanaged health sector that been allowed to deteriorate for multiple government reigns. They add more layers of beaurocratic controls instead of fixing.
Suddenly people expect them to be a lean mean virus fighting machine, while they are in a crisis.
Itâs frankly a miracle there is a vaccine in the country at all.
People expecting more are frankly deluded.

Yes. The problem seems to be with top level civil service rather than bottom level. I wonder which way the top level civil servants vote?
Yet the Insurance Companies are consistently making record profits.
I wouldnt say deluded but its good to highlight to the general public how top heavy the health system is. Thats the real problem with the HSE and has driven the health system to the brink during covid. Show why its a Black hole for money. Consecutive goverments and unions have done a great job in hiding a majority of this from the public. If joe blogs sees that the rest of Europe and civilised world have the vaccine and we are still taking pictures of pallets why may get more people asking the same questions why isnât our health system lean?

80% of.patients in care homes up north have got the vaccine
Meanwhile here, they keep them in a fridge and didnât have the gumption to have the consent forms sorted before the vaccine arrived

This is the most obvious point but the media seem unwilling to press the Government on it. The media will do anything and everything it can to preserve a FFG government.
