The Rapist Conor McGregor Club Sponsored By Fossett's šŸ

I know a lad a huge boxing follower all his life and bets successfully on it. Iā€™ve sent him a message asking if thereā€™s any reason not to back Mayweather. Iā€™ve never backed anything as short as 1/5 in my life but seriously considering putting a wedge on this as long as he gives green light because his opinion is solid. Despite this does seem very obvious.

Itā€™s a made up fight - itā€™s Hollywood. Anything could happen as long as the right scriptwriters are involved. Anyone going in heavy on 1/5 needs their head examined on what is basically a pantomime. This is not a square go. I can see some sort of disqualification/fiasco that will negate all bets.

Mayweather is 1/11 in Vegas.

An elbow from McGregor. Who knows what will happen. The contract wonā€™t allow McGregor to be beaten in 30 seconds

The concerns about a fix are legit given that itā€™s more a circus than a fight, but I just canā€™t see Floyd willingly accepting a blemish on his record. Contrary to everything we know about him. For enough money anything is possible which is why youā€™d be wary, but it just doesnā€™t seem plausible.

McGregor is an unhinged cocaine user. He is liable to do anything in the ring and anything controversial will boost his future chances for Hollywood movies and the like. Expect something beyond Holyfieldā€™s ear.

This. If theyā€™re charging 100 dollars for the PPV or whatever it is theyā€™ll keep it going for a few rounds so thereā€™s no uproar.

Theyā€™ll make a show of it for the punters and then agree a rematch bigger pay day you couldnā€™t make it up and all the mugs handing over their hard earned cash to these two knick knacks

This is like betting on a soap opera. Insanity to plough into a 1/5 shot therefore. Mayweather wonā€™t have fought in almost two years and heā€™s 40.

The main aim of this farce is to create money. Lots of it. Itā€™s not sport, itā€™s the entertainment business.

Their dream is to get a second fight or rematch. Another money spinner. Wouldnā€™t surprise me if it conveniently ends as a draw or a narrow ā€œwinā€ for one of them. Cue demands for Fight II and the mug punters willing to fork out for this drivel all over again.

Another big tv draw, the promoters are happy, the networks are happy, the actors are happy, the Kinihanā€™s and Hutches are happy.

If Mayweather batters the head off him easily if reflects badly on the UFC so the script writers wonā€™t allow him to take a bad hiding. Heā€™s their golden boy and meal ticket. Not good for business to see him embarrassed.

If youā€™re betting on this you may as well plough into the virtual racing at Steepledowns or Paddy Park.

No chance Floyd lets any amount of money or fix mess with his 0. He is as obsessed with that just as much as his money. He considers himself the goat, heā€™s not going to let some mickey mouse kinahan fix or wwe shit break that.

Most likely scenario is CM gasses after 4 rounds and Floyd k.os him or CM is getting badly embarrassed and gets dqā€™d on purpose due to a peoples elbow or some attempted mma move. Floyd should be 1/100. I will be loading up on ko/dq.

Youā€™d swear youā€™ve never seen mugs fork over money for a boxing PPV Mac and for it to all end in the first round. These incidents are tenny a penny. Agreed that there will surely be some pantomine here to ensure it gets beyond round one but surely Floyd will do what he wants from then on. Heā€™s not going to blemish his career for this muppet McGregor. If Mayweather doesnā€™t get a decisive win versus this clown his career will be remembered as a joke.

If McGregor has any bit of brains about him heā€™ll go down early otherwise Mayweather could seriously hurt him.

McGregor has an ego and a reputation too so he wonā€™t want himself embarrassed either way

How will this stupidity work? Will they both wear 16oz gloves, or will McGregor wear the ickle gloves they have in that MMA thingy? Will McGregor be allowed to elbow / kick / gouge / bite like they do in MMA, or is it a straight boxing match? If it is, Mayweather could kill him. Good god, is this what society has come to?

Instead of ploughing into a 1/5 bet would it be better to spread your stake over different methods of victory?

Floyd to win by unaminous decision is 15/8

Floyd to win by knockout is 3/1

Floyd to win by TKO is also 3/1

Everything on tko/ko. Doesnā€™t go 12. This farce will actually be profitable.

On first viewing I wouldnā€™t touch this with multiple barge poles cellotaped together.

Does Mayweather care more about money or his legacy?

Anyone have a price on either to win by disqualification?

Or a price on interference from The Undertaker

The rematch will be a table, ladders and chairs match

But this isnā€™t a ranking boxing match or anything is it? Is it not a circus event? Would a loss here be counted in floyds overall record? If not he could definitely throw it for the money.
