The ref in this camogie game

I genuinely can’t understand why the Camogie association are fighting this

If you are a club GAA administrator you’d really want to be finishing up your term at the end of 2026 AGM.

What’s your distinct impression based on? Should delegates pay attention to the players of the sport they’ve put themselves forward as delegates for? You’re talking through your hole.

Exactly, this option to choose won’t work. Silly to think that motion would pass.

is it a big deal though? Does anyone really care if one player on the team wears blue shorts and the other players wear blue skorts?

The Clare team wore different shorts in the All Ireland Hurling final last year, and there was nothing made of it.

Just saying like…

A sketch involving Camogie Association delegates judging a Lovely Girls competition on a rocky island off the west coast of Ireland would be both hilarious and accurate

Could be the case that players will wear the shorts ‘too short’ if that makes sense - I know its came up as an issue in some county boards where players are wearing the skorts too short and it could lead to some very risky photos being taken by photographers who are taking photos of the game - this issue might be made worse if players wore shorts instead of skorts.
Don’t see it being an issue myself as sure don’t they wear shorts in ladies football.

Ah in fairness that’s a pain. Some wearing all blue skort and then another wearing blue with white trim shorts etc.

Just put them all in shorts.

Is this endemic in Ladies football? And so what if they do. This is a very odd response.

but does anyone really give a shite? Sure go to any club game and you have a mix of all types of shorts, some with stripes, some not, some with white shorts or some wearing shorts of the jersey colour. I dont get why anyone would give a shite as long as the main colour was the same. And even at county level, they’d have to be able to sort the shorts properly and make sure they are as aligned as best they can. And sure even at that, as @habanerocat said above, Clare players wore different shorts in the AI final and not one batted an eyelid.

I’m only being the messenger here. Just passing on what I’ve heard that came up as discussed at a county board meeting before.
Never heard it being an issue in the ladies football.

They were discussing the chance of girls shorts riding up?

Ah lads.

People definitely give a shite in a championship match where there’s more seriousness to it.

Absolute pain visually - unless it was a one-tone shorts/skort but different pattern shorts are very annoying.

I wonder what way the Enniskorty delegate voted?

I’ll get my coat.

The GAA is actually over relaxed on teams kits. Even at senior club championship games you have some players wearing different colour shorts to the official team kit, most clubs then have about ten variations of the correct colour.

There is definitely a culture among some ladies footballers wearing very short togs but in this day and age what difference does it make, it’s their own choice. Don’t some of them Tyrone men’s footballers spiceboys wear 30 inch togs which would have been unheard of before.

GAA goalies dont even wear jerseys in huge games.

Sure mens county teams currently see players wearing different socks regularly.

Don’t bleedin’ get me started on the red inner long sleeve ie Adam Hogan. Unacceptable

lads wearing skins on legs is another one creeping in.

I dont think for a second that if a county team wears a skort or shorts, as long as the main colour and design are the same, then its not a huge issue, or certainly not one to die on a hill for.
