🏌🏾‍♂️ The reign of Shane Lowry 🐳

It´ll be some roaster fest. Will the D4 crew, who don´t just live in D4 make the trip to bog trotter land? Mike TV playing the music at it as well… It´ll be a short set.

Des or Shane on Morning Ireland?

What should have been a great moment in sport for a decent guy has now descended into disgusting territory with the usual hangers on like creep Cahill. It’s just a piss up now which is sad. They should be allowed do what they want in private but allowing these leeches publicize this depravity sadly renders it awful

Des. He was being interviewed as opposed to his regular sports bulletin.

He’d be given short knock if he tried charge a penny

The chap to the left of Des in the white tee shirt looks like he’s positioned for the claret jug to be inserted where the sun don’t shine

see yer wan in the polka dots eyeing up the People’s Champion

I’ve great time for Shane Lowry, sensational result at the weekend, a great sportsman and he seems like a very nice guy as well. Some awful begrudging messages on here as well as he was winning it. He deserves all the plaudits he got, he destroyed that field and was remarkably consistent over the weekend.
But the public celebrating going on since is getting a bit sickening at this stage. Look at the class the limerick hurlers showed after winning their All Ireland. Lowry is in danger of turning into an awful stereotype as a drink fuelled figure of fun if it keeps going or maybe being turned into that stereotype by the ‘celebrity’ leeches hanging off him, not sure who’s to blame.

I saw some quote on twitter about the great fun being had on LinkedIn between the bankers after Lowry win.

FFS, he won it 2 days ago. Let him enjoy it to it’s fullest. I can guarantee no one ever looked back after winning something and said “I wish I’d celebrated it less”.

The limerick hurlers being held up as bastions of virtue is getting a bit tiresome too. Plenty of stories doing the rounds as you well know but they’ve somehow done a serious PR job in keeping it all quiet.

I find myself nodding in agreement with every single word of that post

@balbec is some party whip tbf

Haven’t kept it all that quiet though. Impossible in this day and age

Exactly.

And the thing with Lowry is that his achievement is up there with the best of Irish sportsmen. It’s not as if he has won some barely meaningful competition and has gone on the beer with all his hanger ons.

for the financial aspect it’s great and well done to him …but for the prestige you need to have the Green Jacket …end of

Has McIlroy a green jacket? If not then I fully agree with you.

Was it not agreed that Augusta is a glorified pitch and putt course set in a parkland?

I decided to throw ye a few scraps an odd time.

Ah come on . He is entitled to enjoy a few pints and if they media want to watch then so be it . The limerick hurlers well celebrated too for a few days . In the main no one outside Limerick gave a fuck .
