The Road to Pasadena (and various other places) Concluding in January 2014

AJ McCarron showing his class now as the Tide draw level at 14-14.

Outrageous play from Manziel there, reminiscent of Eli in that Super Bowl.

Yeah it was a ridiculous decision to throw it probably but it was a cracking completion. They need to stop Bama on the first drive here.

We’ve seen the best and worst of Johnny Football in that half. The pick he threw in the endzone was criminal and it’s not hard to see why he is plummeting down draft boards with that type of decision making.

3 and out for the Tide to start off the half, hopefully the Aggies can get a score here and make a game of it.

And he throws a pick 6 as I type it:rolleyes:

It was some return to run that back for a touchdown. Maybe a little unlucky for Manziel but he doesn’t look that careful with his passing.

Another TD pass from Johnny Football to bring the Aggies to 14 behind. Alabama have looked unstoppable though, and are now in the red zone.

In other news #11 Michigan needed a TD with less then 3 minutes left to see off 150/1 no-hopers Akron, that would have been some upset. #2 Oregon are running riot against Tennessee leading 59-14 in the 4th. #16 UCLA rolled into Lincoln and had a huge 41-21 victory over the #23 Cornhuskers.

Incredible scenes, Alabama fumble on the goal line to go 21 points up then Johnny Football throws a 95 yard bomb to bring the game to 7 points, 42-35 Tide, unbelievable!

Crazy ending to the Wisconsin @ Arizona State game, Bandage’s beloved Badgers (are you still supporting them chief?) and the officials really made a fucking mess of this…

After a drab week 4, when none of the top 25 played each other and there were no shocks, we have some decent fare. The big news for us over this side of the pond is that College Game Day is back:clap:

ESPN are screening…

Week 5

Thursday 26 September
12.30am – Virginia Tech @ Georgia Tech LIVE

Friday 27 September
2.00am – Utah State @ San Jose State LIVE

Saturday 28 September
2.00pm –College GameDay LIVE
5.00pm – South Carolina @ UCF LIVE
8.30pm – LSU @ Georgia LIVE
1.00am – Wisconsin @ Ohio State LIVE

The LSU @ Georgia game should be a cracker. But I’m really looking forward to the South Carolina @ UCF game. I watched the UCF @ Penn State game 2 weeks ago as it was a dress rehearsal for their game in Croke Park next year. I was very impressed with the Knights redshirt junior QB Blake Bortles and it will be fascinating to see how he gets on against the Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, many pundits tip to go #1 overall in next years draft.

Great game earlier on with UCF just falling short and losing 28-25 to South Carolina. Gamecocks sophomore RB Mike Davis the star of the show rushing for 166 yards and 3 TDs.

I’m watching the Notre Dame V Oklahoma game online now, the Irish down 14-0 after 5 mins in the 1st:confused: Will probably switch back over to ESPN after the missus has finished watching the X factor at this rate. Here’s a link to the ND game …

Okies kicking some leprechaun ass in South Bend

Not anymore pal. Go Irish.

His Holiness may have spoken too soon. Crucial TD there and game on. The overhead cam option is absolutely superb on NBC btw, really enjoying watching the action on that option.

The Sooners score a TD with 42 seconds left in the half to take a 21-7 lead into the locker room. Irish have it all to do in the second half.

Big TD for Georgia just before halftime too.

George Atkinson breaks out for a 80 yard TD scamper to make it 21 - 14 at the start of the second half. Just what the Irish needed. Over to the D now to make a stand.

TD Irish! Despite being dominated in the second half it’s just 27-21 to the Sooners now with 14:10 left in the 4th quarter.

Killer 54 yard TD pass from Blake Bell to Sterling Shepard for the Sooners there and a 2 point conversion makes it 35-21 with 12:24 left. ND need a miracle now.

Noader Dame may have lost but LSU are on an adjacent TV and a cracking bird in an LSU uniform keeps jumping up and down every time there’s a big play in their game so that’s consolation enough.

To college football
To Saturday afternoon boozing
To the troops
To America

Just switched over to this to see Georgia score a TD to go ahead 44-41, looks like a wild game.
