Ohio State only have themselves to blame. Everyone knows the Big 10 is crap. The Buckeye’s strength of schedule is a joke. And they didn’t help themselves by organising a cupcake out of conference slate of games that included dross like Buffalo, San Diego State and the mighty Florida A&M. The only team from a proper conference they played was California, who are 1-8.
If Baylor run the table they should leapfrog Ohio State.
Disaster strikes for #2 Oregon and Marcus Mariota. Beaten 26-20 by #6 Stanford and held scoreless through the first 3 quarters, this is a nightmare they can’t wake up from. The Ducks BCS aspirations are over and now the Cardinal hold the keys to the PAC-12 North and a likely tilt at the Rose Bowl. Mariota, bothered by a knee injury, struggled mightily through the first 3 quarters and although he staged a gallant last quarter rally his Heisman chances look over too.
Meanwhile in Waco, the rampant #5 Baylor thrashed the #12 Oklahoma 41-12. The Bears were led by redshirt junior QB Bryce Petty who passed for 3 TDs and ran for another couple as they went 8-0 for the first time in school history. They are very much in the BCS picture now and will be hoping for a slip up from the teams ranked above them.
The big winners on the night could prove to be Florida State. They now know that if the run the table a berth in the BCS championship game is theirs. Their final game of the season against Florida looks absolutely huge.
Ohio State will also be happy now. They should run the table and a defeat for Alabama or FSU could put them in the championship game. But they will be nervously looking over their shoulder as Baylor gather momentum.
The defining weekend of the regular season is here. Last week Baylor blew it as they were dismantled by Oklahoma State and are out of the BCS picture. It now looks like it’s down to four Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State and Auburn. And they are all involved in fascinating clashes tomorrow.
#2 Florida State make the short trip to Gainsville to play Florida who are having a nightmare season. On paper it looks a gimme. But the Gators would love to salvage something from the season by sabotaging the Seminoles title aspirations. Perhaps the biggest question mark however hangs over Seminoles freshman QB sensation Jameis Winston who is embroilled in a sex attack scandal. Details can be found here…http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/acc/2013/11/13/fsu-florida-state-jameis-winston-sexual-assault/3517403/
#3 Ohio State travel to Ann Arbor to take on unranked Michigan in what looks their toughest assignment of the year. The Buckeyes should have too much for the Wolverines.
If both win it will pour the pressure on #1 Alabama who have to travel to Jordan-Hare stadium to take on bitter in-state rivals #4 Auburn. The Iron Bowl has huge implications this year. These two have shared the last 4 national titles between and hopefully the Tigers can raise their game and give us another classic.
ESPN tomorrow…
Saturday 30th November
14.00 College Gameday
17.00 Florida State @ Florida
20.30 Auburn @ Alabama
01.00 Texas A&M @ Missouri
Great game going on in Ann Arbor as Michigan and #3 Ohio State are locked at 21-21. Just in the door so pleasantly surprised to see this so close, this could be a huge BCS buster and open the door for Auburn later on. Florida State are up 27-0 in the 3rd quarter and almost assured of a BCS championship game berth now.
Unbelievable drama in the Big House. Michigan drive the length of the field to seemingly tie the scores up with 30 seconds remaining. They then decide to go for 2 points and finish the game only for junior QB Devin Gardner to throw a pick and hand the game to the Buckeyes. Ohio State hang on for the 42-41 victory and will be watching the Iron Bowl with interest hoping Alabama fuck up.
That was quick:D
Fucking daft decision to go for 2 points there. Ohio State nearly shut them out on the goal line earlier on in the quarter.
Some game here in the Iron Bowl. Tied 21-21, Auburn punter pins’Bama inside their 1 yard line then AJ McCarron throws a 99 yard bomb to Amari Cooper to put the Tide 28-21 up with 9 minutes left
Great stand by Auburn on their 10 yard line with 'Bama unwilling to go for the chip shot FG after their kicker shanked two earlier efforts . All to play for now, and plenty of time left.

Unbelievable clusterfuck by Bama to give Auburn a chance, hon War Eagle.
Fucking hell. The 'Bama kicker misses his 3rd FG of the day to win this game, then Auburn drive down the field to tie the game up at 28-28 with 32 seconds left. Superb stuff:clap:
