A right mean cunt by the sounds of it. 90 years old and still trying to accumulate it. Probably a fortune under the mattress and afraid to spend a few pence.

Agreed, the deeply embedded fear of having nothing in this world was what kept them awake at night. We had a neighbour with rats running through the house, no running water and who barely kept himself warm. When he passed there was biscuit boxes of money left lying round the placeā€¦ tens of thousands.

His nephew wasnā€™t long spending it for him.

Drink -waste of time
Fags- waste of time
Hurling- waste of time
Football - waste of time

Thatā€™s it sure, youā€™d wonder what theyā€™d be thinking. I suppose they saw real hardship, and were afraid to ever be short again.

Contrary cunts seem to live longer. They get by on pure spite.

Was a fella the same as that by my grandparents place. Would drive to the local in his 168 at night and read the paper while drinking a shandy over the course of a couple of hours, home then to bed. Would eat a slice pan and a pound of sausages a week. His nephew found a ball of money under a loose slab in his woodshed. Near 6 figures apparently.

The even more depressing thing is that youā€™d see it having been saved from long ago, when the pounds were really worth something. Stuck under the bed they depreciated to next to nothing over forty or fifty years

Nothing wrong with exercising a bit of frugality.
Wasting money on fancy coffee shops and the likes has this country fucked. Iā€™ll pay my own way in life. Unlike ye young bucks trying to impress the girls, flashing the hard earned pounds everywhere. Obviously no one here had seen a bad hungry week.

Agreed,

But that grasping miserable cunt above isnā€™t any kind role model. I rather eat a barrel of a gun than live a life that.

Just re-read the article there now and if I had the capability Iā€™d link it to the fitness thread and point out the bit about this gentlemans physique and his lack of any excess weight, which I have no doubt is linked to his longevity.
He, like myself seems to come from a superior and prolific gene pool.
A pool which the fatties can only dream of. Now Iā€™m loath to mock the fatties, Iā€™d just advise ye to eat as ye please and enjoy the few years that are left and donā€™t put yourselves through the daily misery of dieting and fighting with your own natural body weight.
Just eat, drink and die happy and leave a bloated cheerful corpse.

Thereā€™s no one fat on this board now that Dunph is no longer posting, so while that is a fine, fine post, it is wasted here.
