I heard the Pines and the Illinios were both big hitters amongst the Irish community around that time to Massey. Both strip clubs now I believe.
The Illinois is just down the road from where I sit now - itās a decent enough pub, the lingerie waitresses come out Thursday - Sunday along with the strippers.
A lot of non-roasterish behaviour being attributed to roasters here.
For example the lad wearing skinny jeans above is not a roaster. A roaster wouldnāt be seen dead in skinny jeans.

Fuck off, he clamped you good & proper there. A Roaster getting on public transport.
Have we settled on a term for dyed in the wool roasters trying to break away from their roaster traditions and getting it badly wrong?
Who do we consider worse? For me itās definitely the closet roasters.
Ripsters? Roasters who try to be hipsters
Aka Murphy.
Oh shit, this is ground floor stuff here, we can make this a thing. Someone contact Joe.ie.
Hoasters?
Rohipsters?
Aka Murphy.
Examples of Ripster behaviour:
- Lads who dress a bit better than roasters, but donāt really get the look right
- Still go to coppers on a normal weekend, but if thereās a big GAA game on go to Diceys instead because only sheep go to coppers.
- Eat Chinese food, but only Curry/Sweet & Sour/Crispy Chicken
- Drink Hop House 13
Examples of Ripster behaviour:
No. 5. Go to a tapas place and order meatballs & patatas bravas
No. 6 Being in a michelin star restaurant, and asking for a pint of milk.
No.7 Not knowing what the above foods are.

Never heard of fennell milk, would that be any use for a younger child I wonder?
