French lad missed some terrible kicks as well in fairness

In fairness France left 8 points behind from missed kicks and an absolute stonewall try when Danny La Rue got in the way. 13-30 would have been a much fairer reflection

They’re not but quite apart from Murray and Sexton there are better options than Gibson-Park and Burns.

Agreed, Ireland’s try was also very fortuitous

I’m gonna call it early, they need to get rid of Farrell in the next year or so. I don’t think he’s gonna cut it for the WC and two years out is the time you need to make the change.

With respect mate. Cutting it at the world cup isn’t exactly the barometer… What Irish manager has?

Gats

That was some effort from Ireland. They’re absolutely nails hard.

Having said that, they kicked or ran into the nearest french lad all afternoon.

“Testing the tackle”

They’re that alright but way too little threat in attack to go with it.

It’s the most brain dead version of a sport suffering from brain damage

None of the backs seem especially penetrating, it’s been a problem for a while. Aki was, but also seems to just bash up the middle these days. Those rucks were ferocious throughout.

Casey and Harry Byrne are the future. Burns and Gibson-Park are a very uninspiring partnership at 9 and 10. Ross Byrne would be a steadier presence at out-half. John Cooney a little unlucky not to start at 9.

We need a cabinet reshuffle in the corridor of power.

Ringrose seemed to show flashes of a young BOD when he first came on the scene but he hasn’t really had many opportunities to show that since in our risk averse style of play.

Joe Schmidt choosing Andy Farrell as his replacement appears to be similar to Alex Ferguson and David Moyes in 2013. Irish rugby got the successor wrong.

Eh Joe failed miserably in his main task

If Lowe had scored that try in the first half Ireland would have walked that game.

How come Ireland can’t pass off the ball?
