The Rugby Thread (Part 2)

I think Gil’s point is the one. Limerick have talked about this in recent the years, becoming process driven for performance rather than relying on emotional energy and that being the root of consistency in performance. It explains why we often had such great performances followed by flops down the years. People keep observing that the current Clare team rely heavily on emotional energy for performance. It’s really interesting.

It’s incredible, they can turn anything to Limerick hurling

They’ve gone very well so far considering the awful news. They’ll need 5 or 6 trys to keep Fiji from pulling off a scare at FT.

Fiji right back in this

Great win in the circumstances

Australia putting in a game effort against England. Trail 17-22 with a quarter of an hour left.

A fourth English try will give them the pool, if they win this game.

Try Australia.in the corner

22-22 with the kick to come. Looks like Ireland top the pool.

Kick fails. 90 seconds left.

Aussies done Ireland a nice turn there

Refs trying to even up France v Wales here

Is that vanity or neccesary?

I wouldn’t have a clue about the science of it but you’d want your legs and back in some nick to face into an hour of scrums …be serious pressure coming through there…

Was hoping for an answer out of your good self here. Suppose the likes of himself are overthinking the SAffers?

He needs tobebetter than he has ever been this year. Would be in no way surprised if he hit the wall after World Cup but thats the nature of it. This lad could’ve quit Ireland and earned 500k a year for the next 5 or 6 years. Id say he is taķing years off himself.

The SA game is only relevant for momentum really assuming you beat the others…your going to have one of all blacks or France in quarters either way

Yeah he could have taken the easy route alright and stayed tight head. I think he is struggling in the scrum recently. With Leinster more than Ireland they were doing some desperate fucking around against la rochelle trying to protect him.

How was tight head the easy route?

Because it was the position he trained in all his life?

Because he had already spent seasons converting to the tight and it was a massive decision to decide to revert…he was avoiding furlong but its a very different position physically
