I’m sure the people of Minneapolis celebrate wildly whenever the Los Angeles Lakers win the NBA championship. Possibly not actually.
That really is a beautiful jersey. I remember that World Cup vividly.
Palatine in Carlow (Pal cc @anon67715551) had the same idea.
Jesus the cost of a GAA jersey is insane. I’m glad I robbed so many.
I knew a lad who got called up to the Dublin junior hurling team. His first child was born the same day. He was handed the iconic Dublin no 14 jersey and after the match as a sentimental gesture for his newborn he pulled on his jumper over the jersey and walked out of the dressing room. All hell broke loose. The club were contacted and told to get the jersey back and your man was told he’d never represent Dublin again.
Yeah. Zwift’s branding looking dodgy now as well.
It’s only iconic to the Dubs only. Nobody outside of Dublin could wear this. It would be like wearing an England soccer top.
The other examples are iconic in that even a non fan would wear it.
That’s not what iconic means.
I’d also be reasonably certain nobody from outside Limerick would wear a Limerick jersey only Man United fans would wear that jersey.
I accept that the Kerry jersey is worn by Limerick lads.
Completely iconic and instantly bring to mind that cuntish team in much the same way as all Kilkenny jerseys do for me.
Correct, nobody outside a county would wear another county jersey, in general I think. I don’t see what’s iconic about the Dublin jersey though?
The Twelve Apostles
It’s iconic in the sense it’s probably the only GAA jersey most people could link to a specific year and final
Yeah, the likes of Jonathon Brown, whose father played for Fitzroy and watched his son win multiple flags with the Lions, would take his lead from obscure NBA franchises.
Fergal Horgan wears one to bed.
