The Sash my Father wore

Non west Limerick lads would call them Cappamore jerseys

Presume the Borris-Kilcotton jersey is a merger of both Borris in Ossory and Kilcotton.
The kilcotton jersey above and the Borris jersey which was red & white.

It’s one of my least favourite sash jerseys.

Portarlington have a nice sash.

The Borris Kilcottn jersey is like all amalgamation jerseys, an abomination.

Perhaps they’re not pretending

They’d be more than eligible for the Pretend thread on this forum.

I think Bruree wore white with a blue sash many years ago.

They did. Also Croom and Ahane

Fedamore and Knockaderry are also sash wearers. Identical jerseys, in fact.

Kilteely/Dromkeen also, until they modernised it a few years back.

Still are

Ok guys, this is a thread for iconic jerseys, not try name any ballygobackwards club team that have a sash. Please stay on topic.

I think we’ve established loads of GAA Club teams wear a sash.

Stripes are actually pretty rare in the GAA. Kilkenny and Ballyboden spring to mind.

As are the colour combination of Red, White and Blue…except in Cork, I think there’s 1 or 2 clubs down there that sport those colours proudly

Get fucked

No need to be like that.

How twee

Fedamore wore Green & White stripes years and years ago.

Yes, I forgot the amalgamation of Samp and Doria.

I couldn’t respect a GAA team in stripes.
