Conor Cox will not sleep well for missing such a gilt-edged chance with his team 1pt ahead in injury time. I knew it would haunt them that miss. It can’t be understated what a horrible bollix he made of the chance, in acres of room and essentially in a 3 v 1 situation on the full back he chose to stop rather than carry it and hit an effort for a point from outside the 21. For a fella supposedly very good, i’m inclined to agree with Kev.

Conor Boyle played very well for DCU who seemed to have a much stronger overall panel.

Thought O’Brien was the best player on the pitch while Dorman and Connolly were good for UCC.

He can’t kick under pressure. I was behind the goal for the last 10 mins of extra time and he botched another one. Weather it’s physical pressure or mental pressure he is poor in that situation. Hardly a Kerry IC forward trait.
None of the Kerry men I know expect him to make it anyway.

Prodigious. But hasn’t always shown it. I think the faith shown in him at Sigerson now is helping and has brought him on. I really hope he plays next week.
