The Seething thread

You’re goosed so. Dragons they may be, but they’re dragons with the rules on their side.

Unless, of course, there’s any scope to invoke that great, but little known, line “the exigencies of the service”?

How many times did you run around it?

Yerra I’ll kiss a few arses in HR and see if we can bring in a yellow pack. I actually don’t mind doing that for the staff members with family.
The 2 cunts may not actually sign for the summer months anyway after it all.

Very bad form. Not all women that petty though

My wife started working in a hospital there few months back. She thought inevitable she would have to work Christmas day. Two young ladies volunteered to do it to let all the mammys have the day off. Top class

The problem I have in my place is that they won’t take the time off and I have a big holiday accrual made. Can’t legally force 'em to take the days off.

Really? I was certainly forced to take them here in the past. Nature of job meant had to take 10 consecutive days minimum. And could carry no more than 10 all of which had to be used in first quarter of next year.

Fuck that anyways. They are there to be taken

IAgree strongly. Apart from me threatening to kick other fellas heads in the fellas as a rule the male staff just get on with their lives.
I think with of the younger of the two wenches it’s just something to keep her valid and busy.
Her last whinge went on for 2 years, she insisted that after renovations the office was too noisy for work.
I organised an independent audio testing firm to come in ( cost €1,100) and their results were that decibel levels were WELL below the safe working limits.
For 18 months she followed me around complaining about the report and wanted them to come back some afternoon as she thought afternoons were noisier than the mornings. … the test was carried out at morning time.
In short. I hope she dies soon.

This is the inherent disadvantage in permanent tenure and guaranteed increments.

I can see that point alright @tallback, but overall it’s good for society.
We hardly want to go back to the 1920s when people were effectively treated like dogs by employers. While I’m a trade union activist and life long member there is a fine line between harmful and necessary.

So you spent 1100 quid of our tax money on a fucking noise test? Cunt

I know,sure how many times have I said she’s a cunt.
You don’t even know her and you think she’s a cunt. Imagine having to work with her.

Nobody cares about your pathetic little work drama, mate. You’re banging on about it all day. That’s only an issue that would crop up in a mickey mouse environment like the motor tax office in Nenagh. Some of us work in the real world.

Haven’t you a floor to sweep or something, or maybe catch a flight back to France, you fucking dreamer.

Always with the same old, tired insults. You should really freshen it up a bit.

You’re the architect of your own misfortune buddy. You’ve badly misjudged the mood of the forum. Let things go for a while and keep the head down, you’ll make it back up the ladder once again.
