Bach was a great lad. He wrote some extraordinarily obsequious/sellout type stuff to the Duke of brandenburg. He made himself out to be a complete tube. Then he went on to write the brandenburg concertos- and put everyone and everything else musical in the ha’penny place. Great tunes altogether, yet they wouldn’t even make the ‘Best of Bach’ album.
