Peter Hook is my favourite bass player of all-time.
I remember watching an interview with some of the New Order/Factory crew and they were saying that it was only after he died that they realised Curtis actually meant everything he had been saying in his lyrics, that those words were what he was actually thinking. I reckon Sound of Music is probably more on the nose than most in that respect.
I was never a fan as such until i watched Control one night on Sky Movies. The film was really good etc, but i was blown away by the soundtrack. Their sound was and still is unbelievable for the time, Curtis was a poet.
