The Dubliners - Octopus Jig. Legends. Well worth watching and only 50 seconds long.
Big in France is Perry Blake, Farmer. Good call.
Speed to My Side is also probably my favourite Irish song ever. One of my favourite anything songs ever in fact. Heart-breakingly brilliant middle-8 to it.
Ah, I love that song Art.
Mick Jones would never have gotten on MTV with teeth like that these days, mind you.
My call for the greatest Irish song of all time - well one of them at least.
Sometimes by My Bloody Valentine
And fuck it - for the time of year.
Walking in the Air - from The Snowman. Peter Auty is the guys name that sings it here.
Quickly back on topic and away from that guff.
A song very similar to Walking in the Air and indeed one of the great Irish songs from the best Irish album ever.
The Divine Comedy - Tonight We Fly.

Excellent shout Farmer. Neil Hannon has a cracking voice and the Divine Comedy a great sound
Decent first album. Fantastic second album called Promenade where Tonight We Fly comes from. A few decent songs on Casanova and a lot of shite. Then he completely sold out with rubbish like the National Express etc.
Lost interest then but have been meaning to give some of his recent stuff a listen.
Undoubtedly a talented bloke though.

Casanova and Promenade would be my favourites alright and a few decent songs off Liberation.
Singles likes of Generation Sex and the National Express would be the ones that they made a few bob off.

I think Casanova is a brilliant album. Heās done some very very odd songs. Have you heard āBeen to a marvellous Partyā? I canāt remember which album it was on.
Canāt agree with that.
Becoming More Like Alfie, Songs of Love (even though it slightly rips off Golden Brown by The Stranglers) and Woman of the World are three top songs. Iād leave the rest though.
That oneās a bit mad alright. I wouldnāt be a big fan of it but Iām not surprised that heād come out with something like that. Hannon is a very talented and a bit touched
Hereās him with my favourite French man Yann Tiersen.

Hang aboutā¦this is a version with Tiersen singing. Very odd.
