6-4. McLeod isnā€™t a bad player though

I see Stephen Maguire has dropped to 40 in the world. Iā€™ve never seen a player who could be so rubbish yet be sometimes unplayable.

Know much about the Iranian lad thatā€™s in the World top 20?

Yeah, excellent player. Break through season, winning the shootout. Consistent and probably break into top 16 in next couple of years.

Ding Junhui v Maflin a potential last qualifier match.

Ding playing well last few weeks. A lively outsider

This day week we start the Worlds proper.

Love it!

Canā€™t wait for a dour match involving Barry Hawkins in the second round best of 25 of a bright Tuesday evening.

Won the shootout. Confident lad.

Ding will beat Maflin I think

Dave Gilbert v Rory McLeod will be interesting

Jimmy will surely battle on. Thereā€™s unfinished business.

Nigel Bond has announced his retirement though. Thanks for the memories Nige.

He reached the 1995 final of the Worlds.

Poor enough time for snooker. Davis, Parrott and White on the wane, Oā€™Sullivan, Higgins and Doherty in their early stages and Williams not having arrived yet.

Ricky Walden beaten by Allan Taylor 6-4. Surprised at that.

Hard to pick himself up after losing Gilbrator open final. Cost him the guts of 250k

Walden literally just outside the Top 16.

Scott Donaldson just mugged off a Chinese guy 6-5. 57 down in final frame and cleared with 58 to win. Maguire on now.

Watching a bit of White vs King

King in trouble

White is very decent, easily a top 32 player at his best. I think if he gets back on tour full time, he will do well.
