The Snooker Thread (Part 1)

He talks through his nose, laughs at the end of most sentences and comes across as a total gombeen on twitter. He’s also had the exact same haircut for 25 years.

What’s your fucking problem?

And you are like a wexican paddington bear, pal. Good wishes to you in this festive season.

Stephen Maguire beat Mark Williams 6-2 to book a date with David Morris in the last 16. 18 year old James Cahill, who is Sephen Hendry’s nephew, currently leads Ding Junhui 4-1. It would be some shock if the world #100 can defeat the two-time UK Open champion.

He was 11/2 in running with PP after losing the first frame.

Cahill produces a superb clearance to nick the 6th frame and is now 5-1 up needing one more frame for a sensational upset. And he’s in amongst the reds now in the 7th frame.

Cahill has a right chance now.

Looks like 5-3 now. Nerves from young Cahill.

Ding starting to play more offensively & the better for it.

Cahill was unlucky in the 7th frame, the red he cut in just needed to land on a colour and he would have won the match. But the kiss on the brown fucked him. Ding has his tail up now but has just missed a black off it’s spot. Great chance again here for Cahill.

Fucking this away, missed black off the spot again.

Serious talent is this Cahill chap, if he can get greater control of the cue ball he will be a serious operator.

This is some fight back from ding can’t see the young fellow winning he decider after that frame.

That red from 5/6 inches may well haunt his dreams tonight.

That wasn’t that bad it was the free ball that he gave away which was terrible

Disagree, he was very close to making contact & had played that type of shot very well before and after. That miss even with the extended rest from that distance was a real sickener.

Well he won now fair play to him.

Forum favourite John Higgins has bowed out, losing 6-5 to Anthony McGill :frowning:
