Trump Trump Trump

Sets up nicely for tonight.

Ronnie is seething

I think much more than Judd Trump the story of that session was one of Ronnie O’Sullivan’s weakness. Trump plugged away but that’s all he did. There was really only one frame in which O’Sullivan showed his A game. Apart from that he looked tired and nervous. It was probably his worst session of the tournament.

600 pounds for a final session ticket

Do they allow you go out and take a few shots?

They would want to at those prices, madness.

120 pound for a session attendance in the final I’m hearing.

Come on Ronnie

Not a good opening shot by O’Sullivan.

30 years ago the player who led 14-8 lost 14-18. Big turnarounds in finals are far from unknown. The man talking on BBC at the moment completed the most famous of them all.

Great pot.

Would you watch on BBC or Eurosport generally?
I’d imagine you appreciate the traditional nature of BBCs coverage

Should be Ronnies frame from here.

I fancy Ronnie to close this out quickly tonight. Something like 18-12.

Surgical from the Rocket and could even afford to leave a century after him there.

I don’t receive Eurosport though I have watched a good bit of it during this tournament via theft online. I like their coverage especially Dominic Dale but I’m a BBC man for the big occasions. I find that especially in the final session of the final not much needs to be said by commentators, so it all becomes about the timbre of the commentator’s voice, which is why I love listening to Dennis Taylor. I find Taylor strikes just the right pitch, much like the late great Peter Alliss did on a Sunday night at Augusta.

First frame up should steady Ronnie O’Sullivan.

The luck has really deserted Trump in this final.

The famous BBC commentators had the great skill of brevity and let’s the action speak for itself your Maskells, your Lowes, your Benauds
