Watch to the end… bukyak
The Sopranos, unsurpassed masterpiece
Jackie should have gone to acting school
Am up to season five now. Haven’t seen these episodes in well over ten years. Laurence Taylor at Feechs card game. Johnny Sac is a great character, some rat.
Watching Season 4 here. Ade trying to gently break the news to Christopher that she may not be able to have kids.
Ade : When I was younger I had a medical procedure and my uterus got pierced.
Christopher : What? Both of them?
I actually flew through it from season 3 these past four weeks. Rewatching again it’s some show but taking away all the sentiment attached the final season is very ordinary. Such a high bar set was hard to reach. The episode where Chris died I remember thinking first time round was epic, it was absolute dog shit on the rewatch. Phil saved season 6, it really was poor enough otherwise.
Sylvio is in the RA
Johnny Soprano RIP
He was a saint.
Re-watching season 5 here. I’d forgotten what an odious character Carmella was. A hypocritical, snobby cunt. Brilliantly played by Edie Falco.
Arguably the worst of the lot of them… Church goer and always banging the moral drum… but money is her true religion/morality.
The competition to be the worst of them was pretty stiff in fairness. But she was a turbo cunt all the same.
She was the worst of all as she was totally oblivious to it.An absolute cunt. What a performance from Falco though, she was born to play that role.
That clip where they recorded what cash amount they gave as a wedding present - so they’d know if someone had screwed them in return when the time came - gave a lovely insight into Carmella and Tony’s mindset.
It also reminded me of TFK.
She also showed what a wagon she was when Miss Hunter came back to visit Meadow, reminding her of her drug abuse and not graduating school/college and then recoiling in horror when Hunter says she a medical student now, something she tried to push meadow into.
She’s terrible, no question but she’s no Livia, or Janice for that matter.
She’s a hypocrite but she aint never whacked anyone or ok’d a hit on her own son.
true
I wish the Lord would take me.
You really only capture the depth of the characters on 2nd/3rd viewings - even beyond… That look at the end when she realized he was talking about a complete financial break from Tony, that’s when the psychiatrist lost her.
