The Sopranos

What I liked about this storyline was the juxtaposition of Vito having the relationship with Johnnycakes and the chat amongst the mob in relation to Vito.

It highlights the utter ignorance and backwardness of them - within a preachy nature to their condemnation.

I hope Chase gets a bit of stick in this doc for how shit that film was. I can see it being a fluff piece though unfortunately.

If Little Carmine only didn’t inexplicably mention about Phil’s brother at the sit down.

‘Whatever went on there…’

I liked little paulie

Corky caporale was probably my favourite character. I wonder what happened him.

A strange character to have in the plot. You’d think a young Italian would love chatting to country men about back home, but when the two boys are brought over to whack Phil he just walks away when they ask him where he’s accent is from… Lot of fans think he’s hiding from trouble or someone back home.
He was Christopher’s guy but then becomes Patsy’s guy after Chris dies… Not sure how a fiend becomes Patsy’s guy so there’s far more to his back story. He’s only used for the most secretive of stuff which is mental given he’s a junkie.

When your in that line of work I’d imagine nobody knowing anything about you is key.

That’s cause he actually spoke proper Italian, not the bullshit New Jersey guinea narrow back horse shit the mob lads spoke

The real Italians looked down at them as dirt… But then the Italians were almost depicted as backwards… Furio couldn’t get over a tv at Tony’s when he first arrived over and Tony was looking st him like he was a child… The two hitmen were returning on a plane back to Italy another time and they were amazed at a gold watch they were bringing home… The new world/ old world divide is constantly developed as the series continues and the loss of culture on the immigrants side is a big thing chase plays on
