The Sport of Kings & Equine Matters 🐐

Tom Tate?

Close enough alright - a King of Riff Raff.

Ocean Bay newmarket 2.00

having a few pennies to place on this @10 bf and a win. group 2 race and question marks about the others in this 6 runner field. ew 1&2 40/1 bp.

Fairyhouse this weekend - will you be in attendance DB?

Edit - just saw betting topic now.

Klammer looks overpriced here for me…Small field should suit and looks like value at 7-1 in an open race…Finished very strongly when 5th in the Coventry and the extra furlong should suit

Hannon and Hughs again…Hannon looks to have some smashing two year olds

is there anywhere online to watch the racing from newmarket?

Ah lovely…

What?

I missed all the racing so far, and now C4 have stopped covering the Newmarket meeting. I see from an above post that Hannon and Hughes are winning again…

Starspangledbanner drifted from 2.7 to 3.8 before the off and then drifted out to 7.8 in running before going through the gears and winning in style in the july cup

He had a great ole time. Yahoo.

Indeed.
You should check out what they have going in the 6.20 @ Newbury later on.
A race not to be missed

Murtagh picked up a 6 day ban for the win - what did he do? Didn’t see the race at all.

Johnny Murtagh will miss several big races after being stood down for six days following the winning ride on Starspangledbanner in the Darley July Cup at Newmarket.

The suspension, for careless riding, was related to his manoeuvre towards the rail on leaving the stalls on the ex-Australian sprinter.

The dates of the ban are July 23 to 28 inclusive, which would mean Murtagh misses the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes meeting at Ascot as well as the first two days of Glorious Goodwood.

His possible King George rides include Irish Derby winner Cape Blanco, who could clash with Epsom hero Workforce in the midsummer showpiece

her she obliged…did she look impressive???

She returned 9/2 having been 5/4 in the morning

I was wondering why she was such a big price…

Won on the bridle…

Just a note of caution for anyone thinking of backing Cab tomo.

He will hate this rain and if it’s incessant between now and 4.00 tomo, we may pull him out.

If ground is good or better, I think he is well handicapped but has the bad draw which makes things more difficult.

fair play for that info DB
ill be at the meeting tomorrow and will walk the course if necessary in the morning and report back to the forum with live updates if any changes in going or weather conditions
