Anyone else think Mullins should chance Hurricane Fly in the Champion at Cheltenham ?
I’d prefer to see how he does in the Irish Champion Hurdle. Serious potential but needs to be managed properly. Look at what happened Sizing Europe and he looked every bit as good as Hurricane Fly last year.
Looking forward to a jolly up for the Hennessy day out, it’s shaping up to be a nice and competitive day’s racing.
Disappointed to see Oscar Dan Dan was only 4th again today. Expected a lot from this fella but something doesnt seem right. Was the brightest prospect in Tom Mullins yard a while ago but seems to have lost it somewhere along the way.
Time Electric has really disappointed me this year as well. Had a decent 2nd yesterday but that’s the first time he’s produced anything near a good performance this season. There’s no way he was expected to still be a maiden heading into February.
Was a big fan of Oscar Dan Dan after he won his bumper in Thurles, but has been very sporadic in his form since.
The 2 of them were supposed to be the next big things coming from the Mullins’s. Sure not as if Willie can complain with the Novice hurdlers he has doing well this season!
I see Paddy Power are already paying out on ante post singles for Master Minded! Just another cheap publicity stunt as I can’t imagine them paying out if they had any serious money taken.
But still, shows what a machine this horse is.
Cheap publicity and very likely they’d be paying out anyway.
Whatever Paddy says this is costing them you can divide by five.
Fair play to Paddy for doing it all the same.
He’s fair sound alright
Looking after your job Shan?
Tow the line. Thats it. Sure the odds werent great to start with anyway. I think 11/10 or so.
I must say I’m ever thankful for PP paying out on Kenny Egan. I had hedged on the other fella and ended up copping both sides. I got the sweets in that day.
Fancies for the Thyestes on Thursday lads? Operation Houdini has a savage weight and if the rain keeps falling he could plod to victory.
He could very well do Mac. Although my worry would be that Davy’s horses haven’t been running the best the past couple of months and they reckoned there’s something in the yard, although he did have winner on Saturday so maybe they’ve turned a corner again.
Davy or Des?!
Davy, Davy Fitz the trainer of Operation Houdini.
Always thought his name was Des for some reason. Havent a clue where that came from.
No bother, his name appears in the cards as DE Fitz so maybe that threw you. Hopefully the horses are over whatever was affecting them anyways as he had a super start to the year and he is a super trainer to place his horses to win races.
For me Operation Houdini is in with a great squeak, as is Dun Doire.
The galmoy hurdle while missing a few big names this year is also a good one… I like Alpha Ridge.
