Just reading that Fr Sean Breen died last Thursday. A legend in racing quarters. Used to say Mass in Cheltenham every day of the festival over the years and almost became a celebrity in the past few years appearing on Cheltenham preview panels.

Sizing Europe out of the Champion Hurdle on Sunday. Been a serious gamble on Brave Inca - he’s now 5/2 joint fav with Sublimity.
Just watching ATR here and the ground in Gowran is nearly unraceable. My selections for the day:
1.05 Apt Son
2.05 Savitha, Moores Law (ew)
2.35 Operation Houdini
3.45 The Boxer Roche
Denis O’Regan is picking up Paul Carberrys 2 rides as he’s injured.

Sizing Europe has not been near the same horse since that race last year. He could be finished.
I just told there to back Emma Jane in the Thyestes. It’s 2nd hand info though so don’t know how strong it is. I do think that Operation Houdini is in with a savage shout at the weights if all is right again with him.
I’ll do a bit of investigating and find out.

When i posted the above, after recievin that information I got stuck into him each way at 8’s, thought he would be a better price… happy out now though… dont hink i will bother laying him off.

Just before opening this thread I did an e/w lucky 15 with Art Slueth, Savitha, Operation Houdini and alpha Ridge.
I have Alpha Ridge and Operation Houdini backed in single also. Backed Boxer Roche the last day, but might leave him alone today.
Hoopy is my NAP of the day in the Thyestes

That Emma Jane tip was from John Duggan’s weekly bet on Today FM this morning.
Duggan is normally ok on the golfers but hasnt had an equine winner since Comply or Die last April
well the fella who gave me the tip would be big into his horses and got from another mate of his who keeps a few horses, so could just be conincidence.
Bottomless ground in Gowran apparently. Worst ground there’s ever been there. Fancy whatuthink in the next race.

I got onto a fella there and apparently the horses in the yard are flying it again, and he’s epxected to run very well today.
Emma Jane or Houdini?

Good call on Alpha Ridge Hangblaa. I worry about Paul Nolan sometimes. He was asked was Alpha Ridge his best chance today and he said that Savitha had a better chance! I dont think he knows his own horses sometimes. That place double might pay you well
Operation Houdini.
Im on Hoopy aswell its easy tip Emma Jane and Operation Houdini at the lightweights this one might be a bit classier.
As opposed to Hoopy who’s 1 pound heavier??
Why is it easier to tip the other two, Hoopy is Fav.
Anybody see the race?
1st 6 Preists Leap (IRE) 20-1
2nd 1 Chelsea Harbour (IRE) 16-1
3rd 4 Arbor Supreme (IRE) 13-2
4th 16 Emma Jane (IRE) 7-1
Didnt see it myself… not many would have been on the winner, as he has done fook all in the last 12 months since last years Thyestes.
Alpha Ridge has me up a few bob, thinking of putting the profits on Cadspeed in the bumper… Dise Dan is good as well, but Cadspeed looked liek different gravy the last day in Gowran.
Might hold a few bob back to get it onto Ard na Grise e/w in Nad Al Sheeba this evening.

I’d be wary of the second fav trained by kiely…he’d had 2 good bumper winner in leopardstown over christmas… and there’s money for this one
Went for it anyway, I knew Desie Dan and Cadspeed were the best two as I had seen them and Kiely’s runing. For some reason i thought Nad Al Sheeba would be later starting so never got to back Bolgers horse, so good day all round.
Will proabbly leave Fariyhouse alone tomorrow as its a messy enough card, only possible bet is Gordon Elliots in the bumper, but Willie Mullins’ could be anything, and Tony Mullins’ horse owned by the Irish Sun is a far better horse than his other run.
