Had a couple of âŹâs each way on Priests Leap a couple of weeks ago, cause I like Thoms O Learyâs horses for some reason, but he was obviously only out for a run before this one.
Didnât back him today but isnât that always the way
saw his first run after hearing a good word for him. He was crying out for a good strong gallop, and they seem to have now copped that and sen him off on his own today. He is gauranteed a fast through run race in Cheltenham, and at 12âs might be worth a chance.
Brave Inca is back in some serious form ahead of the Irish champion hurdle, and if Murphy can get another horse into the race to gaurantee him a strong pace he will be a great bet a what will probably be a double figure price. I dont expect Sublimity to run it, but Willie might send one of the 3 super novices to it, most likely Hurricane Fly who seems the most progrssive of the 3 and could put it up to the older horses.
Nice picking HB
yeah⌠took a chance by not laying any of what I had at 8âs off. Some horse.
Ya serious horse and the race suited him to a tee. You knew once he got to the front he wouldnât be passed. Tough as nails.
Shocking day of gambling yesterday. Backed three seconds and the only winner I had was 8/15. The Inca is some machine though. If Colm Murphy was involved in GAA or Soccer heâd be hyped up beyond all belief. He very seldom gets things wrong and the way he managed the race yesterday is a credit to him and the entire stable. A pity Feathard Lady had to be retired cos I seriously believe she was better than the Brave one.
Hopefully he can manage Big Zeb in the same way he has managed Brave Inca.
Looking forward to seeing Big Zeb get a crack at the Ryanair, I think he has it in him.
Backed Muirhead at 33s in betting without Binocular for the Champion, 16s now

Big Zeb is a smashing horse. I am going to get stuck into him next weekend anyway as he is running in Punchestown next SundayâŚ
When he has stayed up he has never been out of the first 3, and any of the horses that have beaten him are serious animals, Captain Cee Bee, Catch Me, Sizing Europe, Clopf, Conna Castle, Jây Vole.

Think next year will be the big one for Muirhead. Only 6 now. Meade has a shocking record in Cheltenham but this lad has the potential to go close.
Probably true, but only has to finish in the first 4 here
Thought that Denman would be almost unbackable todayâŚ8-11 favouriteâŚI know he hasnât ran in a while but should be beating the likes of Albertas Run and Joe Lively
I know it his first run since the Gold Cup but Denman looks the shadow of the horse he was last MarchâŚWas beaten with 5 or 6 furlongs to go
didnât see the run but on the back of it was told to lay heavily into the star for the gold cup. Still a long way to go.
Lay Kauto star or back him?
4 weeks isnât all that long, Denman definetely needed the run and Kempton didnât suit him but hard to see him getting back to the level he was at a year ago in 4 weeks
Lay into him as in back him. Dont even remember posting that one.
Iâve backed another Star for the Gold Cup, certianly donât think I would be backing Kauto at the price he is now in the aftermath of Denmanâs run on Saturday. Harry Findlay was on ATR on Saturday morning and he was by no means encouraging people to back Denman, he said that there is a school of thought which says that Denmanâs heart problems ultimately mean the end of his career. Basically, the sections he posted last year are unbeatable and it was such a good run that the horse is now just destroyed from it.
Sam Thomas went set too fast a pace in the Gold Cup last year, if you watch the run-in the horse was drunk passing the line. I think that has left a mark on him and combined with his heart problems Iâd fear the worst.
Would any of the cynical members think it might be a ploy by Finlay and Barbour to increase the horses price for the Gold Cup?
was thinking that myelfâŚbut youâll know very quickly as the price will crumble with the size of his betsâŚ
Im certainly not writing Denman off. It was his first run since March and has had well documented heart problems in between.
Take madison out of saturdays race and Denman would be odds on for the Gold Cup today.
He beat Albertas by a country mile giving him 5lbsâŚthe same Albertas that Kauto beat by about 5 lengths (if even that) off level weights in the King George.
The Gold Cup is wide open now but for what its worth I think Exotic is the best value at the moment.
