Didnāt he pay a fortune for Luska Lad as well to bail out the lads that owned it? Has he any horses with Willie or Meade? The only Hughes horse that comes to mind is Minsk but there could be others.
On the subject of lads with twine, we had a mare schooling down at Jim Cullothys place last week. He has serious setup below there.
Sean OāBrien is having a good run. Does he have any more to come?
Dr Lambe
Nope. I believe the bird he married is a multi-millionaire. Heiress to some big company in the UK.
Iām hearing a whisper of Golantilla for the bumper at Cheltenham?? Sold today for 375k.

Didnāt know that. As SS once described him, the best dressed trainer in Ireland
Has a fair few Lambe horses all the same. Some of the money these lads pull from some owners is nearly criminal.
Burton Port out for season with tendon injury
Anyone see the RP today? Pricewise doing the Gold Cup apparently
Heās put up Flemenstar at 12/1 with Betfred, non runner no bet, 14/1 elsewhere.
Interesting, what was his reasoning?
He thinks Bobsworth is a worthy fav and form looks bullet proof but thinks he will be 3/1 or bigger on the day so no point backing him now.Long Run not as good as two years ago. Sir Des Champs jumping hasnāt impressed him, tidal bay too old but good value at 16s.
Flemenstar one of the best jumpers heās ever seen. Only thing that bothers him is stamina but he pulled too hard last time and hopes he will be let bowl along in front if he runs.
Segal is superb in the handicaps, but his tipping in the championship races is patchy.
Dont believe Flemenstar would beat SDC over an additional 2f, certainly he wouldnt have a hope on anything except good ground.
My guess is heāll not get home in the irish GC and be reverted to the ryan air. Also expect First Lieutenant to go that route.
BTW, did anybody see Prince De Beachenes run in the 2m hurdle in limerick, he beat venture capital doing hand stands. He looks high class, heāll probably be targetted at the national , but heād come into my GC calculations if he went that routes on soft.
whats the story with Quel Esprit this season?

Is QE not dead?
I donāt think so! I think he got injured last year alright.
Heās not dead and available at 50/1 for the GC.
Ah, either way I wouldnāt back him with counterfeit.
all that being said 12/1 with a run IS good value. I suspect the bet will vapourize but if he did win the hennessy and go for the GC heād be 5-7/1
8/1 on long run would be some bet if SWC was to feature in the celebrity deaths threadā¦
