The Sport of Kings & Equine Matters šŸ

The dream is over already. Has a condition in her front legs whereby the vet said she will go lame anytime she is subjected to an intensive training schedule.

yes, you mentionedā€¦pity. Insurance doesnā€™t cover that either

Vet said you could leave her off for the summer and sheā€™d come back fine for a few months but it was highly likely it would flair up again once the training got serious.

[quote=ā€œThe Runt, post: 782526, member: 181ā€]This thread is dead.

Between lads passing off tips from other forums as their own and one of our foremost tipsters advising blindly following a particular trainer I think we have reached the end.

It certainly goes to pot once the flat kicks in alright.

Is it time for a separate National Hunt thread ? Plenty of summer jumps racing to keep us entertained.

We can leave Mac and Carryharry to chat away amongst themselves here

[quote=ā€œMac, post: 782596, member: 109ā€]As a final hurrah

I take it that itā€™s just this thread you are leaving and not the forum itself ?

Horse ownership can break your heart Runt. Sorry to hear that.

Iā€™m not going anywhere. I though Runt was closing the thread down.

Youā€™ve got awful testy with me lately DB. Was it me accusing Condon of stopping your horse that annoyed you or have I donā€™t something else to attract your ire?

Not at all Mac. But I donā€™t know why you canā€™t come out and say ā€œI love the flat and Iā€™m proud of itā€.

macs engagement on matters flat racing is simply disgusting.
I think its time to setup a NH only thread, this was an ignominious end to this great thread

I detest it and all it stands for DB. No such thing as syndicates, 3 or 4 owners who dictate what happens in the industry. Most decent horses retired after 2 years of running. Every year thereā€™s a new ā€˜greatest horse of all timeā€™. 50 grand in prize money for a bad 2yo maiden in Sligo. Its fuelled and dictated by the rich getting richer and the common man has no place in the game.

Give me Kilbeggan on a rainy miserable Friday rather than the Curragh.

However, if I see a chance to make money, Iā€™m not going to turn my nose up at it. If you saw a 20 euro note on the street would you leave it there?

Big time. He doesnā€™t deserve to have the great AP as his avatar. Mind you, heā€™ll probably be changing it to a snap of Mick Halford any day now.

Is that Synchronised Macā€¦if so, Iā€™d say he is turning in his grave at your recent behaviour on this thread

If you have to ask who it is, then youā€™ve no place on a NH thread

1 winner, 2 nowhere

Not great mac in fairness.

This isnā€™t a get rich quick scheme Fagan.

Clearly.

Mossey Joe the fcuker, I didnā€™t see him in Stratford today

Fagan, I presume you back the winner of the 7:40 in Downpatrick today
