The Stadiums of the World Thread šŸ

Probably the worst one of all the shit stadiums he named alright. Thereā€™s a great atmosphere in Croke Park if thereā€™s a good match on but in fairness heā€™s from Cork so probably been a while since heā€™s been there.

If you are not from Cork or Tipp you will never appreciate the Pairc on a hot summers day. Its not in your DNA Horsebox.

Its special.

Must be 3 months or so alright. Horsebox, Iā€™ll fight you.

Ah stop mate-itā€™s a deathtrap waiting to happen with no decent pubs around it, shitty cramped seating and, worst of all, is in Cork.

Fuck sake, PUC is a kip, out of date archaic kip, the players even piss on each other getting togged out. The seated areas are shit, Iā€™ll give you the terracing though, even if they are most likely death traps but given mickees other choices are much the same I see his theme.

But PUC can fuck right off.

 I meant for a decent game silly. All stadiums have shit atmospheres if thereā€™s a shit game on. There was never going to be that much of an atmosphere for Cork being thoroughly outclassed by Galway.

Its a Cork/Tipp thing, ah that ol chestnut

I was referring to Cork-Donegal, pal. :guns:

All correct my good man, seats are shit, there are no pubs close by, the toilets are shit, the dressing rooms are shit, but the terraces are class and the atmosphere when the place is full is electric.

I love going down there as the pubs & craic is top class always, im fond of Cork in general. Top top place.

Eh, bogball is shit mate. How many Cork people follow that shit-at most 6 or 7 thousand unless itā€™s a AIF. Even mickey would tell you that.

Look, I apologise. Iā€™ve actually ended my interest in GAA because their games are all crap hobbies played by shit swilling bogtrotting cunts. Thanks to TASE for allowing me to see the light.

thatā€™s utter folly unless you are talking pre 1996,
any athmosphere created there just goes out the hole in the back in the stadium
you cant see the game from the upper tiers and your miles from the pitch even at the lower levels, its a horrible stadium

The athmphere is PuiC when full is incredible, the crowd are very close to the pitch and as i said the fact that it is built in a stalinist design makes it even more special, i can only presume most of the naysayers on here who are firing out the old joe duffy style complaints about it have never been thereā€¦ i hate tipp and clare people but that day in 1997 in the park was special in fairness as the athmpshere was so intense
you go to a stadium to watch the game, PuiC allows you to do that in a special setting, however if fellas say that watching the likes of laois vs galway in front of 800 people on a saturday afternoon in july in portlaoise is better im open to correction, as id say offaly vs KK in front of 12,000 people in the 82,000 seater croke park, shur uā€™d be grand and comfortable anyway i suppose

Donā€™t mind that weirdo mate-hurling is the greatest game in the world. Bogball is pretty shit though in fairness.

+1 to that as well

Youā€™re not comparing like with like mate-hand picking good games in PUC and comparing them to shit games in other stadiums. What about Dublin v Kerry in a shit sport in 2011 in Croker-unbelievable atmosphere. Would there be a great atmosphere in PUC if 12000 people were there for Offaly v KK?

Bogball is shit mate.

The Wexford camogie community will be devastated mate. How could you do this to them?

I agree but that doesnā€™t mean that there canā€™t be a good atmosphere at a game-stop trying to take away from my shredding of mickeyā€™s bullshit theories please mate.

so great that in 125 years or so years of organising by the GGA its hardly spread out of Munster- what a game eh

Croke Park can have a good atmosphere when its packed.

The PƔirc is a fucking shithole.

The Gaelic Grounds has always been poor enough atmosphere wise IMO.

Thurles has itā€™s moments but Killarney for my money is the best of the GAA stadiums. If only we could ever come out of there happy.
