Just thought today was going to be a ‘calm after the storm’ episode but then they go and have the Jack, Martha, ‘Chucka’ twist at the end. Sooooperb.
As an aside I wanted to get the perspective of a married female on Martha’s behaviour recently. It was around the time where she was guilt-tripping Jack because he went for a pint after work and ended up with her moving out and proposing a trial separation.
I sought the opinion of my older sister, an avid Home and Away fan herself, as she fitted the bill. She couldn’t believe how unreasonable Martha was being and thought she was ridiculously going over the top. ‘Silly cow’ was a phrase I recall.
Then her despicable behaviour today.
Martha McKenzie can fook right off as far as I’m concerned.
What a tirade by Belle in front of everyone in The Diner. Had me in fits of laughing. It seems Tony could be set for that make or break storyline with these secrets Chucka has. You can tell he’s still a lame fool though the way he thinks Chucka’s a bad egg. I’d still like shot of him to be honest.
I really hope this does see Tony come to the fore and not just stand around throwing disapproving looks. That said Ive decided that I dont trust Ash if Tony doesnt, he will have to prove himself to me too.
Im a bit sick of Belle lashing out at everyone when shes upset shes no saint herself so she really shouldnt be throwing stones.
It was a rubbish episode anyway. Was sick (of work) so called in sick (with flu) and this was supposed to be the highlight of my day. All it was was Amanda being a tit as usual. Was very disappointed.
Potential new love interest for Jack there yesterday.
As an aside, how hot was Matilda looking in that episode? Imagine what she’ll be like when she turns 16!
I didn’t know what was worse on Friday; Jack giving the all clear for his best mate to ask his wife out a day after they separated or that Ashton guy actually going ahead and doing it. Strewth.
Martha has shown herself up to be the shallow, skank that she is. Hypocritical bitch the way she accused Jack of not taking their marriage seriously yet was happy to jump into bed with the first guy she met after the separation herself. Bitch.
A few modest proposals for Nothern Districts Hospital and its staff:
Do not bring Kim on house calls - especially when the confidentiality of the treatment has been stressed in advance
The maternity ward should be relocated to a room other than one off the reception area
In the meantime when a patient is in labour the door to reception should be kept shut out of respect for the patient and visitors to the hospital.
Double doors should be installed between the reception area and wards to separate public and medical areas.
Security should maintain a more visible presence. We have had recent flight by both Leigh and Jack, the patient files area doesn’t appear secure. While it’s hard to comment on individual security personnel there should undoubtedly be a more obvious effort around the hospital.
Patients suffering from post-natal haemorraghes should be treated for this condition and not left unaware of the seriousness of their condition.
Doctors should not team up with friends to offer advice to patients.
Doctors should not rely on private, personal experience to advise patients. An objective distance should be maintained.
Doctors should not tell their friends (and the friends of patients) that maybe their minds can be changed if we talk to them.
Some smashing observations there - at least 6 of which had already been discussed in the Bandage household over the last few days.
Judging by the position of the reception area it would appear Leigh, who should in theory be in the maternity ward, is sharing the exact same ‘private’ room as Jack, who has unfortunately been struck down by a serious spinal injury.
Since when did Rachel become a gynacologist (spelling?). Hell, she was a psychiatrist when she first arrived and made a swift jump to being a doctor.
I’d write to the show only I don’t want to read any spoilers by going on to the official site.
Very much looking forward to the omnibus at the weekend. Having had a relatively successful second big job of busy season signed off during the week, I’m now in ease down to the end of my contract. This will involve seeing Home and Away every day. Heard there was quite an emotional Flynn video last night?
Nah, it wasn’t that emotional - she’s played it about 5 times at this stage and it was emotional the first couple of times but not now. Brad’s all set to give her a rattle though.
Glad to see that job went as swimmingly as last year cc.
It was nice to see Flynn again but it was just the same old him to giving his blessing for sally to move on, though when he made it I doubt he thought she would move on this quick. What annoyed me even more yesterday was Sals reasons that nothing could happen between them no.1 was they work together no. 2 was that they both just lost their partners should that not be the main one. I am completely disgusted by the whole Brad and Sally storyline on a whole. I think I would even prefer it if they hadnt gone down the route of we have been through the same thing. Emily has only been gone two months its way too soon for Brad to even contemplate a new relationship. If they wanted to go down the route of we understand what the other has been through Brad should have lost someone in the past. I really dont like Brad and I hope Johnny kills him. Sorry about the rant but its been wrecking my head.
I thought it was quite moving. Sometimes in Summer Bay life moves at an incredible pace (especially considering all the city folk consider it a hick backwater) so it’s nice to see a time for Sally to reflect before moving on with her life. It confirmed to everyone that her actions are absolutely correct and I was delighted to see it.
Incidentally some of the acting by Kate Ritchie was just superb this week. She conveyed the awkward moments quite brilliantly. She was nominated for the Gold Logie last year - and won the silver award (most popular actress). I think she can win the big one this year.
Yeah, was saying to sam that Kate Ritchie’s playing a blinder lately.
When Brad gave her that peck on the cheek after dinner the other night was particularly impressive.
I love the interchanges between Mr Stewart and Sal too. Another excellent one yesterday, ‘You couldn’t keep the grin off his face and it wasn’t me he was smiling at.’
‘Mr. Stewaaaarrrrt.’
