Christ almighty what an episode that was today - enough plot lines for half a series in there.

And that’s why I try not to get too frustrated when there’s a lull (like there has been for the last few weeks) because you know something cracking’s around the corner.
I cried watching that.
All my prayers are with Sal and her family and friends.
I also cried when I watched that on Christmas Eve. I’ve sent it round the office. Went to the boardroom to watch today’s Home and Away but can’t get the telly to work. Gutted. I suppose it doesn’t really matter as I’ll be missing it for the rest of the week anyway.
Absolutely fantastic to see all the Bay’s residents come into the hospital one-by-one as the news about Sal reached them. Goes to show the high esteem in which Sal is held by young and old alike. Cracking line from Ken when Peter (super to see him back at the station) asked him why all the extra officers were present, ‘When they heard it was Sally Fletcher they all wanted to come in.’
Ken looks like he put on a few pounds since we last saw him.
He’s a cracking cop though and a good foil for Peter who’s more brash.
Not a massive fan of the new credits.
I have huge respect for Mr Stewart and Peter Baker. Even more so, if that’s possible, after today’s episode.
That Brad guy is some drip and is blatantly not good enough for Sal.
Reminder - One o’clock start today.
I got the registration number of the car the guy was driving yesterday when he abducted Belle. It was ‘AA22WX’ so hopefully Pete, Ken, Ash, Sergeant Darren McGrath and the lads can get the car and trace the owner to where they’re holding Belle.
Re the episode from Monday; Lucas got a call to say he’s been accepted into ‘Writer’s Camp’ for 3 weeks after the organisers were impressed by his poetry. What a semen guzzler.
My lack of ability to recognise people let me down big time yesterday. It was a cracking episode but I thought it was better than it actually was because I thought Amanda’s sister was Zoe/Eve. I know she’s dead but that hasn’t stopped the writers before and I was sure she was back. Bit disappointed then when it seems it was just a sister of Amanda.
Do we know why she’d have taken Belle?
No idea why she’d take Belle. But it seems like she’s using her to hold Amanda to ransom.
I like the way they’ve quickly started a new storyline here before we know for definite what happens with Sally.
Yeah it was a pleasant surprise yesterday. I thought we were going to have an interminable 3 weeks of Drew and Belle agonising over their true feelings before Lucas got back from nerd camp so delighted when they threw a spanner in the works.
That said I suspect Belle will come back and this incident will make her realise that life is too short so she’s going with her gut and dumping Lucas.
i seem to recall amanda pouring her heart out to either peter or macca a good few weeks back about some car crash or something that her sister has never forgiven her for, it’s only a vague recollection however.
possibly linked to that?!
Good work stevie G, I must have missed that episode. If Peter’s half the cop I think he is then he’ll immediately class her as a suspect. Just too much of a coincidence that she’d come back into Amanda’s life the day her daughter goes missing and some ‘unknown’ folk are trying to extort money from her.
Agree that Belle will dump Lucas (the correct decision even though Drew is ugly) as he’s an incredible weiner. They’ll have to bring in some other lame female version of Lucas so he can bore her to death and maybe eventually bump uglies with her.

I don’t recall the car crash incident either but it’s probably the rationale behind the whole revenge plot. Will Peter make the leap? Hard to tell with him. Sometimes he gets too personally involved in the case and doesn’t make the leap. I’d like to see Ken involved again. A great cop.

Great news as I accept Peter can get pent up and too emotionally involved and can sometimes miss a key clue due to the state he allows himself get into.
I read on some Home and Away page on bebo that the show is being cancelled in Australia and it’s all going to end with a tsunami hitting the Bay. Hopefully and more than likely just vicious rumours.
That simply cannot happen. I won’t allow it.
Belter of an episode on Wednesday by the way - really like the new plot. It’s different to the stalker because although we don’t know the plans of the menace in advance we do know the source and identity of the terror. Don’t know how it’s going to pan out but Amanda’s sister is one sinister being. She has played her hand beautifully so far.
