Soft nature?

Nadal has won 4 slams since 2014, Federer has 3 since 2014, Djokovic has 8 since 2014.

Imagine tiger not showing up at a major. Federer is a coward.

Federer hasn’t beaten Djokovic in a slam since 2012.

Nadal won a US Open in 2017 in which the highest seed he beat was the 24 seed. The five players who started 2017 as the top 5 ranked players in the world all missed that US Open through injury, including Djokovic, Sir Andy and defending champion Wawrinka.

Assuming he beats this Italian giraffe tonight, he’ll have reached the final of this US Open, the highest seed he’ll have beaten is a 5ft 5 midget, seeded 20.

Odd that you carp about the personnel that Federer beat to win some of his earlier Grand Slams, claim it was a bad era for tennis but yet don’t highlight the very weak fields that Nadal has had to navigate in all his Grand Slam wins since 2014.

The fact that a semi retired 38 year old with a chronic back problem has comfortably been the Number 3 ranked player (and higher) for the last two and a half years is indicative of the fact, that currently tennis is at a very low ebb and it’s a very weak field.

Imagine quitting on your stool twice in Grand Slams in the same calendar year when you were losing. What cowardice and disrespect to the sport and your opponent.

Former US Open Championship JM Del Potro.

Needle Nadal will never be loved like Roger.

Amazing Federer’s back injury is his reason for being shit but nadals knee injuries are just overlooked.

Del Potro in 2017 was a pale shadow of the player that won his lone Grand Slam eight years previously after years of chronic injury. Del Potro was carrying an injury in 2017 but in fairness to him, he battled on to the bitter end in losing to Nadal. Nadal quit on his stool when he was losing to Del Potro in the 2018 US Open.

Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt were both former US Open champions when Federer beat them in Grand Slam finals, Hewitt also a former Championship winner. Odd that you denigrate Final wins over Roddick and Hewitt in their mid 20’s in Grand Slam finals, yet big up Nadal wins over one time Grand Slam winners Cilic and Del Potro, 5 and 8 years after their lone Grand Slam wins in the earlier rounds when both are sliding down the rankings at 22nd and 24th seeds in the twilights of their careers.

At least nadal showed up unlike Federer.

He was back in the final of the US Open the following year.

What’s your gripe with the spanking Federer handed Nadal at the Championship this year? Was Nadal not allowed enough time to towel down or scratch his arse between every point?

The meddled with the seeding system.

Boycott getting badly exposed in factually incorrect incorrect statements. From the 2017 US Open to the 2018 US Open JMDP enjoyed his best sustained slam performance reaching 1 final, 2 SF exits and 1 QF exit in 5 slams.

His only other comparable line of form was 2008/09 when he had 2 QF, 1 US Open title and 1 SF in 5 slams.

Just pure lies from Boycott as per usual.

When Federer was turning 33 in 2014, Federer led the Grand Slam head to head with Djokovic and Federer had beaten Djokovic in each of the four grand slams. Djokovic is six years younger than Federer and really only got to grips with Federer when Federer had reached the age of Christ, an age at which practically most tennis players have retired.

Wimbledon is the only tennis tournament that matters and that everyone knows about.

The score there is
Roger Federer 8
Juicin Djokovic 4
Needle Nadal 2

Well said. Its actually 5 Championship wins for Djokovic but still well short of the King.

What I said was as follows.

You have a problem in understanding and processing basic facts. I said nothing about 2018, yet you’re off on a tangent talking about things that I made no reference to. Del Potro missed 9 consecutive Grand Slams injured over a two year period starting with French 2014 to French 2016. He reached the 3rd round at the Championship in 2016, Quarter Final at US Open 2016, missed Australia 2017 injured, 3rd round French 2017 and 2nd round Championship 2017.

Shocking double standards being applied by Needle fans here. Federer beating also rans = soft title. Needle beating also rans = blind eye turned

08 to 14 was the period when all the players were somewhere near their peak to varying degrees and fully fit. Tennis was at its best. I’m including Nadal, Federer, Novak and Murray. In that period it’s nadal 11, Federer 5, Novak 7 and Murray 2. Since 2014 nadal has been basically injured, Federer getting old and Novak has been the best player. Federer had 12 slams won before 08 when nadal was a kid, no Novak and no Murray.

Federer was at his peak 2004-07, ages of 23-26, typical peak years of a tennis player.

Nadal was at his peak, 2008-10, ages 22-24, typical enough peak years of a tennis player. In those years Nadal has two Championshio wins, a win in Australia and first US Open. Since 2010, Nadal has won two Grand Slams outside of the muck tennis, US Open 2013 & 17. As I have highlighted, US Open 2017 was the weakest field ever assembled at a Grand Slam. If he wins on Sunday, 2019 win is every bit as soft as 2017.

Djokovic peak years 2014-16, ages 27-29.
